Electric axe got buffed. It's got less than a 1 second charge time on strong attack. Thing is - I hate the electric axe. Electric axe was made up nonsense that doesn't exist in tabletop and makes no sense. Power Klaw is staple of Ork fantasy, aesthetic and list building. They relegated it to a stupid anti tank suicide weapon. I have to admit, I am genuinely enraged by this as I hate the electric choppa.
So I'z jist readin' the patch notez and they dun said dat dis 'ere issue wiff da klaw iza bug. http://forum.eternalcrusade.com/threads/patch-24-sep-21.57338/ Go down ta "Known Issues."
Honestly I view the fast attack not working bug as a bad thing. Once they add it, Klaw will be OP and overused as shit. It's a PF with a ridonkulous sprint attack reach. Everyone and their mom will use it, I don't want that.
They why don't they just make it a PF mirror? Why does the sprint attack reach out 15 yards, it's even more silly than only having a strong attack with a 3 second charge time.
Cause its orky to charge recklessly into the front lines? I don't want mirrors, I wany asymmetry. Klaw was totally fine last patch, it just needed an Evade/Roll attack like every other weapon in the game(and the rest of the Ork weapons that didn't have one).
That's great that you feel that way, but Klaw should be a viable melee weapon and be able to clang defensively. That also means the wacky lunge range probably needs to be brought under control and it needs a fast attack. I feel this way as using the Power Klaw was the true reason I bought the game. I don't want it to be a glorified tank punching weapon, as much as I enjoyed punching heavy bolter marines off balcony railings.
I'm going to disagree with you here... slightly. I feel like the Power Klaw (and Power Fist for that matter), should be incredibly slow to clang "defensively". But if can manage to either a) get lucky, or b) predict your enemy, it ends up giving a long stun against non-PK/PF level weapons. I feel like that would appropriately trade off speed for absolute raw power, though not entirely cripple it when you're on the defense. And as a bonus, if the enemy starts being predictable, you'd get to punish them so damn hard with it! HUR HUR HUR! It'd be roight orky, I fink!
The Klaw was absolutely awful last patch. Still is. In this case only, melee needs to be mirrored if only to balance EC's rock-paper-scissors + fast/average/slow combat system.
