2.5k-ish of necrons which were my first 40k army 5.5 - 6.5k of guard if we are including baneblades and such (or the fortress of arrogance as I use it) 2k-ish of grey knights maybe, they have taken a step back lately. 2.5 - 3k of chaos marines which I use frequently because they are easy to store and transport (especially when compared to the guard that I used to use most often). A couple hundred points of tau (its a battle suit, 12 firewarriors, and 4 drones) 1.8k of orks which are pretty much just 2 of the ork sets from the battle for black reach. The genestealers and the blood angel termies from space hulk The dark angels from the new box set that also comes with the helbrute, cultists, chosen and stuff. I also have about 5k of wood elves that I've used maybe a dozen times and are sitting in a box until their army book gets redone. Seriously I'd just get destroyed by a mates high elves, they have better magic, more shooting models than I do, always strike first (which is total BS when used with great weapons), and like 3 dragons. And because everyone knows about the slight advantage wood elves have when woods are around they avoid them like the plague. How is that fair? Hence, sitting in the box. I think thats about it.
Some time ago I playing for necrons. But since they get new background - I leave 40 k. Now I playing in FB for the Vampires and High Elf armies
Over the years I've played them all. At the moment I'm building an Iyanden ghost army, airbrushing most of it as it really suits the army. Here's a picture. Next up will be a heresy era iron Hands army using only forge world models. Then when Space Wolves receive their update next year (August I keep hearing) then I will be revisiting that army.
I have... no idea to be honest, of Orks. Um. Probably 4K without upgrades? And about 1k of Dark Eldar and 1k of Grey Knights (Well, the GK are my girlfriend's). I also have some Space Marines, Smurfs and Blood Angels, that I was given. No idea of the points value of them. Probably under 1k.

Well I started 40k with the Black Templars, but when 6th Edition rolled around I jumped ship for Chaos. I might go back and run both armies in the future but I really like my Nurgle/Slaanesh warband right now.
too hard for me to pick a specific space marine faction (and to be honest, I collected the miniatures just for the heck of it before finally learning how to play the tabletop a few months back) so I have a mix of horus heresy stuff, space wolves, salamanders (just the forgefather and bray'arth ashmantle), ultramarines (just calgar + honour guard), dark angels, grey knights, blood angels, black templars (emperor's champion + grimaldus and servitors), raven guard (just kayvaan shrike) and all the extra unaffiliated bits
7000 Tyraind 3000 Death Guard 2000 Chaos Daemons (all Nurgle) 1000 Renegades an Heretics: Servants of Decay (IA 7) The Nurgle armies make a mighty fun Apoc army. Nid's I just can't stop collecting lol
