I Like this ^ would need to pulse fewer times but it's a really good idea and then it could be a cooldown rather than an equip. I asked for the Sicky Slugga to work the same way, or a slightly weaker version. Would need it's own ailment category, not too hard I imagine, but firing darts into a melee scrum sounds extremely Orky.
Only if there was a 50% chance that the "dart" would end up being an actual bullet, because that sounds Orky too. They can't be bothered to remember what exactly they loaded into their gun, they just want to hear the Dakka sound.
Yeahhh...Inject lads with brew from syringe. No problem, heals em right up! Inject lads with same brew from darts fired from gun, poisons them. Ork technology.
It doesn't need to be all that - just get it in game and get it balanced. We can have good animations for it by the time it's been beaten with the nerf stick for 12 months! Bit of topic but I'm sure in days of yore the animators could do sterling work without need of mocap. Even with mocap; I'm sure it used to be possible to tweak old animations or even create new ones manually... I guess that's progress?!
Yes and no. Yes due to how much they nerfed them. Warlock even more so as he takes a big health nerf, melee weapon nerf and as far as i'm seeing you can't really spec any better for the current caster stuff he has. Why is Warlock/Sorc melee weapon still cost so damn much? Why is their charge/regen stuff cost so much still? If they are nerfing them so hard then why aren't they buffing them in the other areas? (aka caster focus) Eldritch is the worst damage spell in the game hands down, as Flickering is superior to it. Then you have the option to remove pistol for 50 points, but Eldritch which will come down to 200lp is still inferior to a pistol, (not to mention Eldar pistols are inferior to all others), and yet costs x4 as much. At least Chaos damage powers are useful. And no, because well, we knew casters were functioning in other's roles and I can agree that something needed a change. I am fine with the melee weapon stat changes, actually think it is needed for this game, but it so far feels like they are nerfing them to hard and not giving them anything back for all of that.
When are we getting new spells? :| Where is my fucking doombolt volley? Dawn of War 2 last stand was more fun than this crap. It takes forever for Stream of Corruption to even damage someone and half the time I don't even get assist credit.
There could be SoC/Blightnade builds in the works if they stack. Can see some very nasty tactics using them in conjunction with each other if they do.
They were really filling other classes role, but not entirely by their fault. We know offensive spells are bogus. When Stream of corruption was mean as hell, sorcerers didn't bother to go into melee...because the spells were enough. When flickering fire wasn't nerfed?and the fire was mean, you wouln't need to go into melee, as you could kill a guy easy with Flickering fire. So yeah, it's like you say. If they are nerfing everything else, they really need to bring back a lot of power to spells to make them viable.
I'm okay with a nerf to psykers. But they nerfed both survivability AND melee at the same time. Feels like a nerfbat hit rather than balancing. Plus, a Warlock has 50 less Ehp than an apothecary. And he has to put an extra 100 points to get his force weapon back... And unless they tweaked the HPS, then a Warlock also has slower healing... Plus Eldar pistols are nothing to write home about... Do apothecaries get a dmg penalty for their Boltgun as well, since they are a support and all.
I agree. There were too much surcs out there. I, as healing sorc, only player LOVE the changes. And yes the healing on the CSM heals (over default) could need some love ^^ (charge consume is too high, and add a glowing aura for people affected by the tzeentch ability)
