As a player who played the Sorc most of his time, i dont mind them going this direction. It might be a bit overkill, but in time they will balance it out and buff if needed. I like the fact that they are trying to make the Supports actually stay in the backlines where they are supposed to be (imo). In time, i hope they actually broaden their horizons and all the supports actually go the way of the Apothecary. To clarify, the Apo has a ranged and melee build and will still have it after this nerf (will need to spend more LP on stuff that makes you more durable, but with the survivability vial to boot i think a Chainsword Apo will be a decent threat in melee still). The other supports of other factions all have a melee build, but their ranged builds are sorely lacking. So im hoping that in tandem with nuking our durability they also buff our ranged capabilities (in the case of Warlock/Sorc our powers) so we can actually do damage from ranged and not be forced to get into melee. So we can basically have the same option of choosing like the Apo currently does.
Imo the problen with the two force sword classes was well, the fact they got power swords for free. Apoc can take chainsword and painboy is stuck with a gloridied knife, putting them on the power level of GA presets. But warlock and sorc get the power level of a custom power sword loadout for free It would be like giving the Apoc preset a free plasma weapon
On tangent: What do painboyz need? SM is stuck with the same shitty heal mechanic but a tiny AoE heal and decent weapons to protect them as they run out and jab someone. CSM and Eldar get to heal from a safe distance and power weps. What should they have that is unique, fun and useful? What fits lore and TT? Honestly I think sicky nades are the only unique thing we have for now. We got sicky sluggas but CSM have nurgle hose.
They could get their Fighting Juice implemented, i honestly dont know why the only type of juice the Orks have is a HoT, when the LSM have so many variations. The Orks should have their juices be allot more risky and/or damage oriented tho. Also i feel the Urty Syringe could use a durability buff, its strange to keep it at knife levels of durability when its allot bulkier and sturdier then a knife. Somewhere between a knife and a Chainsword in terms of durability would be nice.
Mark of Tzeentch seems to be useless for sorcs, even Slaanesh become more useful. I hope that the Mark of Tzeentch will be remade for sorcs.
I love SoT on my Vet Sorc. Granted Flickering Fire was less ass then so I could actually do ranged combat. If they fixed Sorc ranged spells Tzeentch Mark/Sigil would be great.
I prefer bolter pistol instead -15% HP after support rebalance with 50 armor instead magic flashes, EHP means much more than atmospheric "magic"
True, forgot there should be more types. Perhaps have variants of the AoE Fightin juice as well? And yeah one might think the 'healy syringe would be pretty durable given it's ork standards we're talking about. Have to be able to bash over the head of a space marine repeatedly and work without a fuss.
