Im possitive with EVE influences, Defiance could have been a good experience; his EVE experience and mix it with fps, still Defiance was/ isnt a good game... ( played it and im watching the series). I hope/ "demand" he peformes/ delivers better than that.
I think he had a lot more say in EVE online than he had Defiance, given the positions he had while working on these games
Welcome Nathan I wish you the very best of luck as the new man in charge of this game. You said in the stream that you are a 40k fan and want to make a game that makes history and you believe that this game could be the game to do that. I would ask that you do take this game into the history books but for all the right reasons and not the wrong ones. Please do not change the mantra that has already been set by Miquel that is what has all the founders hooked line and sinker. I wouldn't want to see you have to dish out refunds for people that aren't happy after all everybody connected with this game wants it to succeed but we want what Miquel has sold us. Which is four faction gameplay on a massive scale like you said so yourself "Eternal Crusade is War on a massive scale". We don't want world of warcraft style gameplay, we want the third person shooter that we have admired from the start so please stay true to the path, and to the lore of the universe. I wish you the very best Brother Captain, For Sanguinius and the Emperor !
NO... just no... If were gonna get a grind feast ill start some riots with bricks n pitchforks (same with linear armor n weapons). Only most of the ork characters will be F2Whaag as they call it, rest of the factions and Ork "previlieges" will be b2p. PS: I dont mean to "yell" at you, just a bit hot headed =) "Appointed Executive Producer for CCP Games, responsible for the development and strategy of EVE, Dust 514 and World of Darkness." - this sounds like very interesting influence/ experience =)
No worries mate I can understand getting upset over grind elements I don't really like them myself and they wouldn't fit into the ethos too well (I enjoyed Planetside 2 because you could just jump right in without needing top tier equipment)
