  1. As a past Eve player, I'm really looking forward to what you can bring to the game, best of luck to you and the rest of the dev team!

Welcome to the team, Nathan! I look forward to fighting alongside you in future playtests, even if you are a filthy Space Marine and not a beautiful, strong, lustrous Ork like myself.

Anyone got some background info on Nathan, webpage, articles, interviews, work?
  8. He was an executive developer on Eve online, and I believe he worked as a game producer on Defiance, so he's clearly pretty experienced in this role, but as a lead dev this is new ground for him I do believe

Edit: This is his linked in for anyone who's curious https://ca.linkedin.com/in/nathanr

I personally enjoyed Defiance in the beginning. But I hope this game is nothing like that. It's should be less grindy and questy and more PvP. Basically your main concern should never ever be a NPC opponent (with the exception of a massive 'nid rush, which should be random and not quest triggered)

  10. I like to believe the ethos of the game is already too engrained into the rest of the devs that this is suppose to be Space Marine meets Planetside with some PvE elements, it is a free to play game in the end of the day so it does need some grindy elements to keep people playing (most likely just for armor, better weapons and those sort of things)
