Funny enough, I just got back from a frustrating day at work just like I was for the majority of the SF/DW crossover. I'm argumentative when I'm tired, so I'm kind of sorry about that. But I think we are going to need confirmation from the GM before we can figure out if a Tau Pulse weapon is as silent as you claim.
I acknowledged the sound in my post but assumed it wasn't too loud. It's an energy-based pistol, after all.
I am not claiming it's silent (just to clear my opinion here xD), just not as loud as a Plasma Cannon or a Plasma Gun, that's all I want xD
Regarding the pulse pistol, whether it was noisy or not seems almost irrelevant when the guy shot by it screamed in agony. But from what I found, they aren't exactly loud, but do make noise. It was either climb through the grates, or walk to the door at the end of the corridor. This reads like he's doing both?
Yeah, I got a bit muddled there. I was assuming the path through the grates would follow the same layout as the hall, so he headed in the direction of the door, while staying above. Sorry for the confusion. XD
