    Fair enough no point in closing threads now,

  2. Heaven forbid we go by the lore. So purple Ork Ultramarines and Loyalist Eldar Khornate Berserkers, because FEK THE LORE, right? In a universe and a game world that is built almost entirely upon the lore.

    You're good with the insults, trolling, making inflammatory comments and slights, but weak on substance. That will get you far in your career and in life.

    Good point, but in return he does gets that 40 toughness? (I think it gave toughness anyway) I can't remember what it does aside from slower stamina regen which is fairly good considering the cheap price, I think Warlock has to pay 400lp for that buff but weaker with some armour added in since it's armour along with level 4 I believe to unlock that single armour, so I find that the cheaper spells balancing out the weaker stats of the warlock and the slower progression which is interesting.

    And then we have the thunder bolts... not even the shuriken pistol is that bad for damage and cost lol

    One more thing about ork AV weapon. Since last patch, Klaw isn't equal to power fist as it doesn't stun vehicles anymore and with long attack charge time it is highly unlikely to kill maned vehicle. So atm it is decent at best.

    Yes, MoN gives an extra 35 toughness. It's not a total tax, but you might consider it one to bring the defensive lineback for CSM the way a stormshield is for LSM. It's something to discuss right? Is the 400/300LP stormshield overcosted? Should it be reduced in cost to simulate the non-costed advantages of jump packs/capture keys?

    I guess I could unlock Protect... but nah, we'll find out later.

    Depending how we value the stormshield, there's several remedial options.
    -Costing both jump packs and capture keys, as well as scream and stealth. The LSM GA would become a pre-eminent melee because he can build only for the melee dual itself, without paying for the extras.
    -Reducing cost on the stormshield, to simulate non-costed advantages
    -Give the LSM GA a capture key. With the melee meta being what it is and not going anywhere, I think it's worth opening up that discussion again. I'm also slightly biased, because that's a gateway to argue for melee Dire Avengers as a basic loadout.

    Thanks for the feedback, I really appreciate it. Questionnaire time.
    -Do you know if the lack of stun is intentional or a bug? Bugs aren't considered in this, because that's way to much work.
    -Is the killtime still faster than a heavy bolter? How does it compare to the rokkit launcha?
    -Are you using the klaw with a super stikkbomb?
    -Unlike several other weapons, the power klaw is very capable of dealing with defenders (you know, in that non-buggy ideal). With that in mind, it retains a great deal of effectiveness, no?

    Personally I think Storm shield are fine all because of Njords image .

    Yes the price is steep but look at this, he has the storm shield which grants practically immunity to small arm fire and is best utilised in small areas like corridors or small areas such as capture which they were designed to siege/defend making them beast in cqc espically since the Eldar capper can't fight back along with other range classes on the point attacking and defending very challenging with a few around.

    He then has a power axe, the mancutter or something I assume due to no mod slots which is 100 lp more than base I believe but it hits harder or something, I think a MC power sword could fit which is the best melee in game so that's durability and damage covered.

    He then has medium armour, nice stats and affordable, could mean life or death.

    And then finally 50lp this could be the health kit for surviving or a frag for pushing a point very nice choices as left overs, further more he could not take any and take a few cheap stat trinkets to increase his stats further or even a weapon mod

    I think this is a very healthy build and offers room for adjustments to weapon types and mods showing that the shield is just fine and the problem is the Assualt marine just gets off easy and needs a JP lp increase to balance the difference between the two since the JP is flat out exploitable/ best wargear you could have with the various perks it grants.

    At the moment it got needed hard. lounge attack have also lower range then fist. hard to say it it's a bug or not but it looks like it was intended as it wasn't fixed in hotfix. as for defending it isn't good either as heavy attack take I belive 3 or 4 sec and with reduced range it just doesn't work. i haven't seen anyone using klaw this patch. if we need AV we go rokkits.

    So it can't kill manned vehicle as without stun and long charge time, vehicle can either run klaw user over or just drive away.

  9. You obviously haven't put another time into to the class to mention or realize that:

    1. The shield does NOTHING for you 90-95% of the time you're in a match. The 5%10% of the match that you have it raised its unidirectional.

    2. The raised shield is unidirectional and does nothing to protect you from incoming explosions, enemy fire or melee weapons the other 270 degrees behind you.

    Use your assets, I can't damage you, you can get shot from behind or the sides so be smart and chose your battles, fight indoors as that's where the class prevails over any other melee fighters and it lessens your weakness, you see the class is actually balanced compared to something like the JPA who is good in any location for the most part and can easily kill most things without a care in the world. its like my ASC I don't expect the thing to kill at mid range so back off and ambush people up close, perhaps a back stab before shooting, its a smg so I use it as such and factor that into my battle plan, of course my plans hardly work out for me :p
