As far as Psychic powers go CSM have it FAR better than Eldar. They are all equal or better version, plus your aiming of power reticles functions better. Eldritch Bolt costs twice as much as Flickering Fire which is better as well, and heck, even 50 LP more than Daemon Bolt, though admittedly it needs some buffs, but at least you have one in there to be balanced. Chaos has way more powers as well. So as far as psychic powers go, Chaos is king.
Both combined makes him even better, I believe 2 people have been mentally scarred so far thanks to Carl Besides Carl can be such a handsome chap at times They say it's also the last thing someone see's when a falcon power slides into a squad
Graph 2, Damage Distribution for 100 Toughness (most everyone's basic class) Some easy things, graph works as above, SM Ranged weapons are orange, Ork Ranged became purple (despite setting as green, not my fault), Eldar are light blue, and all melee is green (I set ork as green ok, this is not my fault). Melee has two sets hidden in it, base 80 pen, and base 140 pen. Through all the various ork/SM/eldar melee weapons, there's a variant of them all. It's a harder read to make generalizations on because everyone has different starting health/armour, and the two xenos can preclude their own weapons from the mix. My recommendation is that you make your loadout and compare your combined health/armour with the graph. If it's in a cluster of dots either try to bump it one way or the other. Here's my data set. It's nice that SM boltguns, bolt pistols, and heavy bolters all share the same damage.
Bu...but we actually created our gods while you guys followed a demonic voice because daddy had daddy issues then got some disturbing/kinky fetishes along the way yikes
Ground assaults(no shield) get royally screwed as far as loadout costs. It's why they're a pretty much useless class compared to every other class. They're outmaneuvered by Raptors, JPA and ALL ELDAR, they're out tanked by shield users, they're outgunned by ranged classes, yet the manage to easily max out their loadouts. Hmmm.. how does that happen? Even the Bro gets screwed on mobility, which they should have by default(All GA should have 3 stamina as their baseline stamina. Compare the loadouts below. Exciting stuff for the bro! You get to use less than 1/4 of your loadout slots, and you're LESS MOBILE than most ranged opponents! GG!
Excusing the seemly godlike durability of the shield against Avengers and that a power weapon, shield and armour is with a med pack is far more than Eldar are capable off I say this, If shield Bros can't catch Eldar then why not use them for siege and defense like intended and then utilise Raptors for chasing since they are I dunno "mobile"? seems like a valid plan Eldar cappers are most fragile when defending and capping so attacking them as such makes it very challenging to deal with, I just run from a shield now since I can't win at all, a forced retreat is a pretty good perk. Also Christ Looking at your first image you want everything don't you? Also why would you not use shield, it's the strongest in the game and is the reason why the class is a threat in the first place, its like chaos without a Mark, unless you like it that way as chaos Also edit: My Avenger gets 2/3 guns (The base, the same gun but with a mag on top and a unique if I open the boxes which is a weaker base one because it has less fire rate) and 1 armour type that I have to unlock for every class and you cry about loadout choices? please my tac can't even take krak or melta
So you limit yourself for looks and lore like many do with marks for Night Lords and Iron Warrior and then bitch that weakening your class makes you weaker? puppy please
Alright, I will call a mod and shut down my own thread if I have to, let's ease off everyone. I actually agree with @Njord-Halfhand the LSM GA is the only melee that pays for everything in his loadout. That might be based off the defensive nature of his shield, and an unseen associated value to it. Apothecaries pay 100LP for the vial, 150/50LP for the narthecium, and 150LP for the grenade. So for 300LP with discount the Apoth has his full defensive nature. The stormshield costs 400/300LP, so discounted he equals the apoth for base cost. Which raises the question, is the stormshield equal in value to the full apoth setup? Now talk about that. Add-on: To go with that, the Asp Sorc pays 150LP for Nurgle Rot, which both heals and adds a defensive buff in an AoE, but also pays a tax with the MoN of 150LP, so 300LP for his defensive build as well. Ork is same as apoth, does anyone have the cost of protect for eldar? I only have Embolden, which is 150LP.
