Really great answers! I do hope the prices on RT go down though for I still believe, however sidegradey and cosmeticy, a hero/vehicle costing 25 bucks is way over the top for something to be considered in a shop dedicated to micro transactions. 15-ish bucks and 10 euros is where I draw the line for high end priced items because 25 bucks should just be a DLC package price, in my honest opinion!

Well, 25 for a special cool vehicle is okay. 10-20 hero, 5-10 weapons/armor. Items in RG should be priced by their power, for example powerful founder hero can cost more then usual founder buggy. Great to see such support from devolopers. Can't wait to see more items.

This is really a team/developer that does what it promises, tbh I have only seen this with one other and that CCP (EVE-Online for the uninitiated :p )

    I salute you :)

Refferals, have seen a few threads about these, and have heard a few people being less happy with the solution and to be honest getting up to 200 points is a massive reach, even the biggest factions are going to struggle to have new people join on a single refferal code AND buy something and then apply it on themselves, which is what's needed to get the recruitment point.

While it is fully understood that requiring a purchase needs to be a part of this, otherwise you will have people making false acounts to simply get their recruitment points up to 200.

But with the facebook link i had 6 friends, who aren't gamers sign up for the site thinking they were helping me because i've been talking about this for a while now. One even bought the squig points pack and gift it to me. Now had she purchased this and used it on her own account i would then get the 4000pts and 1 recruitment point, but as i used it on my account this didn't happen.

Surely it's within reason to allow the recruitment point be awarded at the time of purchase from the store rather than the buyer using it on their account. Alternatively that the recruitments bonus' are awarded when the purchased item is applied, regardless of which account it is that uses it, you could potentially restrict this to the two accounts involved, the one owning the refferal code and the one using it to sign up, to save having to track these codes through multiple exchanges.

I think the company will get more sales than it otherwise would by people who are not gamers nor ever will be gamers, yet these people will sign up via their friends links with the sole aim to help that friend get his point score up, by requiring they make a purchase that must be used on their account will discourage many people from doing signing up at all, and maybe generate a level of dissapointment when they discover they haven't in fact helped their friend get his recruitment score increased.

If the sytem is tweaked to allow people to sign up to the site via a refferal code, buy from the store, gift that purchase to the owner of the refferal code, and onve the owner uses the gifted item he/she then recieves the 4000 points and the 1 recruitment point. This would allow friends and family to use the founders store for birthdays and christmas ect as they would be helping a member not only be able to purchase more items but also in the long, and it is so very long, road to getting 200 first time sign ups through their refferal code.

The pleasant side effect this would generate is that people who do not normally circulate in video game areas will become aware of the title, and interact with it in the form of the store and spread the word of it, and you are guaranteed that a % will become properly involved in the game and community, and another % having talked about the game will bring in a % of new members.

So as far as i can see this small change as to how the recruitment points are awarded is a pure win-win for behaviour, the required purchase will still generate funds for the comapny, more so i believe, as having done a single purchase to give their friend the recruitment point and what ever it is they bought in the store, everything is already registered and set up for them to revisit and gift future store points for birthdays/christmas, and second, word of the game will spread to circles it otherwise would not, and bring in yet more people who will join the game as a player who in turn will have their own refferal code that they will wish to use to reach the 200 recruitment score, and there you have a domino effect.

    More money.

    More players.

Is this not what the goal is at the end of the day? ;-)
