I have never seen someone try to convert somebody away from Chaos before, this is an occasion of note.
So many different opinions, its almost like Chaos is chaotic and the chaos gods are laughing at us.....
Is that not a matter of opinion on both sides ? You say you found, learnt and accepted this "truth" but is it possible you weren't intentionally lead that conclusion through no fault of your own ? Who's to say it's truth and nothing more then falsehood ? The two are not mutually exclusive, can it not be true and at the same time false, it's all a matter of perspective is it not ? It would not be unlike the Dark Gods to mislead and betray those that give them the opportunity to do so, if the end result is the same, does the journey matter ?
The end result is never the same ? The journey is all that matters ? I disagree, none of us took the same path but each and every one of us reached the same destination. We are all servants of Chaos, regardless of the details that brought us here, be it a pilgrimage or simply a moment of weakness wherein we offered ourselves up as tribute. I also believe you misunderstood me, I have no illusions of what I have become but I do not regret the decisions that brought me here either. I don't doubt the existence of the Gods nor do I doubt what they are capable of but being aware of them and the power they wield is not the same as understanding the intentions of those same Gods.
"It's the emptiness that's left. It's like a despair, destroying this world. And I have been trying to help it." -G'mork
I fight, kill, and destroy because I revel in it. I conquer and pillage because I am strong and they are weak. I enslave because I do not sow. All else are the whinging words of old women.
Though the gates that stand between the mortal world and the immortal Realm of Chaos are now closed to me, still I would rather die having glimpsed eternity than never to have stirred from the cold furrow of mortal life. I embrace death without regret as I have embraced life without fear. - Kargos Bloodspitter. Chaos means different things to different people, it's a several thousand year old monstrosity composed of countless human souls and emotions served up ever since the dawn of mankind, so complex and wide reaching that even entities like Slaanesh who were awoken relatively recently as a result exist, and always exist, throughout the space of time in our limited perception of it. They are not gods, and yet because of the unfathomable conditions they are created and intermingle, they somehow manage to be gods anyway. Some people die like the Sacrificed King and regret everything they ever did, some people die and say they would of never wanted to die any other way and mean it. That is the nature of Chaos, Chaos never lies to you, it never tricks you, it let's you lie to and trick yourself. Chaos is what you make of it, it can be your salvation, your only obstacle is who you are.
I don't know how about you guys but I am fine with a purpose as clear as: vengeance on the puppets of enthroned corpse and his falsehoods. All else is merely a distraction. I believe VIIIth Legion will agree with me.
Its one eternal ride back and forth, i advise you enjoy it rather then try to change it. The Pantheon is more then pleased with the current state of the galaxy, so id suggest you join them in pleasurable merriment.
