I trust the devs to give water a balanced gameplay effect, if they choose to add any bodies of water.

If so, please make the water look amazing :D With the option for other less endowed computers to turn details lower :)

If they don't add fluidity I guess it won't
It all depends on how they put it in.

I don't know about the multilung, but if they have their helmet on it's environmentally sealed and has its own air supply. It can be used as a space suit or, conveniently, a diving suit. Not sure how large their internal air supply is, but I would assume it's significant.

Also the Chimera is amphibious, an often overlooked ability. :D

I think it should work like in BF.
Infantry isn't capable of diving or firing while swimming.
And while skimmers and amphibious vehicles should be capable of crossing rivers, other vehicles should stall when deep enough, becoming useless and in time being destroyed.
Paths shallow enough for vehicles and infantry should be visually obvious to all parties.

If they add rivers i hope that they won't all be the small 1.5 foot deep and 6 foot across rivers that other games have, there should be at least one large river(if its possible with the tech they are using) that is almost impossible to cross without a bridge or water transport like the Rhine.

One area\battle ground that i have been waiting to see in an online game is a large urban area that is split by a large river with one or two large bridges across it.

Water over knee height should slow troops moving through it making bridges and shallow water important to hold if you want to move quickly over land, hence if you know the enemy is going to take over a crossing, as your race retreats blowing the bridge should be crippling to the enemy's advance(it would stop zergs like nothing else:)).

Bonus points if we can make rivers run red with blood. i'm sure that will make all the khorn worshipers thrilled as they go swimming in it screaming with glee.

Only if they look something like this-

  10. I've always loved rivers in games like this and feel it adds an extra layer of strategy to certain cities. It always feel great to slowly take a squad through the river into a less guarded area while the main force presses the bridge.
