Through their diplomatic talent and their rhetoric, which they gained through the cooperation with other Craftworlds and Exodites, the Eldar of Shem-Yi-Slavhreenur are often able to prolong imminent war with their humanoid foes, what gives them precious time for indispensable preparations.
    Reputation: Saviours, Diplomats
    Main Enemy: Chaos, Dark Eldar

    History:

    The Origin

The Eldar of Shem-Yi-Slavhreenur were first known as simple members of the house "Yl'Rihr", the founder, the oldest and wisest, the first Farseer and originator of his own house. It's members were insofar different from their cousins, because their oldest and wisest of them knew that something was wrong with the galactic paradise created by the Eldar. In the eyes of the wisest of the House Yl'Rihr, namely Yl'Rihr himself, it was just too good to be true and he warned not only his own followers. He felt that something is wrong and things will become worse, if this abundance of luxus and immeasurableness won't end. It was the request and the advice of the wisest to stop playing and behave like gods.
The society of the house of Yl'Rihr appreciated their council of wisdom, but the society also was pretty dichotomously. The council of wisdom planned to travel the worlds to tell about their worries and concerns under the leadership of Yl'Rihr. They offered others to come with them on one single condition to give up all the abundance of luxus and immeasurableness. One half of the house Yl'Rihr accepted to travel with the council of wisdom, the other one however, was to possessed and literally corrupted by the heavenly abundance. So possessed, that even the most vehement begging was answered with ignorant and mocking laughing.
Sorrowing the half, that decided to leave and to travel with the wisest, leaves the other half, abandoned to their own fate, for "the Great Journey".
During the Great Journey, the Council of Wisdom planned, to warn all Eldar, which they where able to reach in their path. But they failed time after time, with a few very little exceptions and quickly became a mockery, for believing that something is wrong, times become worse and the eschewal of immeasurableness.
Because of certain circumstances, the memebers of the Great Journey searched for a yet untouched place. On the one hand to avoid the mockery of their boastful cousins and on the other a save foundation for the moment. Away from what is too much, even for an Eldar.

    New Home, New Troubles
Promising, the current location at that time was a perfect place to live in and with the harmony of nature. They named their new home planet "Tiel Yin Ot Angau" (Far away from dark fate). At preciesly the moment, where everything seemed to be as it should be, another Eldar fleet emerged. The former members of the Great Journey, at that moment known as "the Fellowship of the Wise", welcomed the arrivals with open arms. But it turned out quickly, that the arrivals where from domineering, overbearing and sadistic sort.
The complaints piled up and the Council of Wisdom was overchallenged and they always gave the same answer and advice, please to calm so all can work together on a solution. But because the two groups were from pure contrary, it came to a revolt on the side of the Fellowship of the Wise. This revolt and ongoing defilement led to a foundation of a civil war. A few Fellers reached their border of their patience and their claim, to banish the wicked arrivals, fell on deaf ears of the Council. Because of that, the few Fellers of the Wise arranged to kindle the hearts of the abased ones. Their plan succeeded and the majority of the the Fellers were willing to set their hands on weapons.
A merciless and wolfing civil war broke out. It last several Months and the casualties were high. After the victory of the Fellowship, the "Sinful Arrivals" were pushed back to the other side of the planet. The major part of the Council were slaughtered. Only Yl'Rihr and a few of his scholars were the last ones of the Council. Walking along the blood-soaked battlefield and remains, cluttered with countless corpses and finding his daughter in critical condition, Yl'Rihr sworn to himself with tears in his eyes, to reject a serious complaint of one of his companions never again and banish the sinful arrivals until the end of days.
After the civil war, Yl'Rihr and his few scholars caused the construction of a wall around the remains of the Fellowship of the Wise. Slowly but surley the Fellowship recovered and found back to acceptable size.

    The Legendary Daughter
It turned out, that Yl'Rihr's daughter "Kyleea" had talent for military and strategy. Kyleea chose the Path of the Warrior and became the greatest Autarch of the house of Yl'Rihr, the Fellowship of the Wise and thereby also of the Craftworld "Shem-Yi-Slavhreenur" has ever seen. Only because of Kyleea, the Fellowship was able to hold the vengeful Arrivals off. There were rumours and pleasantries about her, that she has the cool head and calm mind of her father and the fierceness and deftness of her mother, though she was an orphan, adopted and raised by Yl'Rihr and his scholars.

    Consequence and Reaction
The remains of the Fellowship returned to it's fromer size and strength. Negotiations and the military under the leadership of Kayleea prevented major conflicts and a new civil war with the spoiled Arrivals. But this mostly peace was not meant to last. Because the great wall was not finished already, the Arrivals planned a second great war to gain and force complete subjugation, by attacking the gaps with all scavengers that where available. The attack went well, Kyleea was overwhelmed and she recognised, that something with the hostile Eldar was different. They became darker, bloodthirstier and were obvious well trained. In a short time Kyleea realised, that the majority of their dark cousins were not banished, they concealed themselves all the time since the civil war and all the scouts that vanished over time, probably caught. The patience of the Arrivals, only nursed by releasing the thirst for a revenge all at one great day of joy and sorrow. The Fellowship fought with every possible means. As a few traveling messengers of the Fellowship returned to Yl'Rihr they told, that suddenly at every place they met, was not that was it once was. A lot of Eldar are twisted, became evil and sadistic in a sick way. After a second victory for the Fellowship, the Arrivals were beside themselves with range, despite and hate. Through their insanity, they considered to send a signal through out the sector, so the Fellowship, will never ever be able to restore peace and sanity by the countless raids of other dark cousins. Yl'Rihr was right with his concerns and because the signal, which their dark cousins sent, what could be heared at every frequency, Yl'Rihr also got wind of it and because of the news of his messengers he ordered to create a Craftworld, before the hell is about to become real.

    The Last Step
The Fellowship had a key advantage. The fleet they used for their Great Travel was an important foundation pillar. Shortly before the last part of the Craftworld is completed, Yl'Rihr is in a dying condition. The power he used to accelerate the process, absorbed his vital energy in return. As Kayleea is about to meet her father at the deathbed for the last time, he whispers his last words, that he devolves the last part of the completion of the Craftworld to his daughter. She asked sorrowful and concerned how she should ever be able to complete this responsibility successfully. He just replied, that he never could be more proud of her and that he will never forget and never stop to love her. Yl'Rihr's last words and death kindled Kayleea's inner flame and she ordered all constructors, bonesinger and scholars of Yl'Rihr, all members of the Fellowship, all members of the house Yl'Rihr to go over their limits and finish the last part, if they ever want to see the possible light of the future.

    "Shem-Yi-Slavhreenur"
Just at the moment the Craftworld finished, it happened. The birth of Slaanesh and the Fall of the Eldar. Because the Craftworld was already finished, everthing and everbody was ready to be evacuated, a lot of lifes could be saved. But losses could not be spared. Narrowly escaped, the Eldar of Shem-Yi-Slavhreenur sworn to honor Yl'Rihr by pursue his Path of Wisdom and his ideals, to save as many Eldar as possible, as long they are not already corrupted and lost like their dark cousins, no matter where they come from. They chose the name "Shem-Yi-Slavhreenur" and it the meaning behind is the unsuspected Salvation, when the tears of imminent doom already or the tears of relief flow. The tear as powerful symbol for the height of emotions and salvation as something the Eldar are too short of.

    Idiosyncrasy:

The Eldar of Shem-Yi-Slavhreenur hold on their ideals, to save as many Eldar as possible and to serve as mediator among them. A lot of Craftworlds seek steadily contact, to get the latest informations of other Craftworlds and Exodites. Of course the informations will be treated in strict confidence, if it is "not meant for other ears". Counsils between representative Eldar is also often a case and the Eldar of Shem-Yi-Slavhreenur, try to mediate harsh disagreements and dispute as good as possible. The Eldar of Shem-Yi-Slavhreenur also offer help and support, especially at highest trouble.

Drawbacks: Becuase Shem-Yi-Slavhreenur is so open, they also offer a vulnerable spot and because of their huge collection of invaluable informations, they have to be especially attentive and watchful.
Other Eldar see them as foolish, as well as brave and honourable, because of their self-sacrifise. But it still costs the dwindling populace of the Eldar more than a acceptable number.

    Features:

Tear-Catcher: The Tear-Catcher are a sort of an Honor Guard. They are the elite of the elite of Shem-Yi-Slavhreenur, they make excellent bodyguards, commandos and are useful for almost every task in almost every situation. There is the legend of the last fight of Kayleea and her honor guard. The whole guard of Tear-Catcher covered Kayleea, so that she could activate a weapon of mass destruction to save her Craftworld from a approaching disaster. She had to activate it with her own hands, because the contact to ignite it from far away was jammed or lost and no time was left. To make sure she will succeed, every single member of the Tear-Catcher rejected the command to retreat.
To become a full member, one has to offer years of experience, pain tolerance and enough will to cross physical and mental borders like no other and even the will to sacrifice themselves for the benefit of any Eldar, they're ordered to. The Tear-Catcher might not to be as good as the Aspect Warriors are at their single chosen path to perfection, therefor the Tear Catcher stands for excellent allrounders. Jack of all trades for near any situation, at any time and at any location. They follow the strict "Path of Versiality and Adaption", based on the wisdom, that you never know, when the situation changes in a very short time and you better prepared for the unexpected. Like the sudden appear of a Hive Fleet or an Chaos Portal/ -Rift. The "Tear-Catcher" obtained their name by saving countless valuable Eldar lives and prevented more sorrow than necessary and because of the ability to withstand an enormous amount of pain, that would cause tears to not enough-trained/-hardened ones, what makes them literally "Tear-Catcher".

Heralds of Shem-Yi-Slavhreenur: The Herlads of Shem-Yi-Slavhreenur are the elite of the messengers of the Craftworld, as well of it's scouts, spies, infiltrators and assassins. Former members of the Eldar Rangers and the Aspect of the Striking Scorpions, if not even of both paths, are preferred candidates because of their knowledge of stealth, infiltration, inconspicuousness, patience and their abilty to finish even unimaginable exhausting tasks on their own.
It is said, that the final test is to survive only one year long in a Space Hulk. It might be only one year, what it is nothing for an Eldar, but one year in a Space Hulk is something very different.

I hope you like it! :)

    Background

In the darkness that pursued them, not all were able to survive the all devastating war that surrounded the galaxy. There were many Eldar that lost their homes to the ever-hungry Tyranids such as Malan´Tai, destroyed by horror of Slaneesh or slaughtered by the primitive Mon´Keigh. Eldar-kin who survived after escaping from the inevitable, flew away and caught a void-signal. This signal worked for those who lost their homes as last hope of saving the Galaxy. Signal guided them to the lost planet near the borders of the galaxy, to the Hope of Sima, hidden in the Webway shroud from the eyes of devouvers, daemons and primitives. Those who got to this planet were welcomed by the architecture of their fallen-Empire. One strange thing was that the area was clean of all life. Expect for green enviroment and overgrown buildings, there were no Eldar... Through the Void-signal, visitors were navigated to the Abyss of Nan´Daiad. It was told that Nan´Daiad served as prison for the powerful Daemon Entitities, but that was just a story. It was major holographic field projection that hid great Webway Gate. When entered, visitor was sent into the Webway, where he found himself in the shining Assembly of Hope. From here on, survivor was part of new Craftoworld, new home, new hope. Craftworld Da´Jin of Sima!

Da´Jin is most secretive and knowledge hunting of all other Craftworlds. Citizens of Da´Jin vows to the leading house Sima to destroy everyone who cross the path of progress for knowledge and rebirth of their Empire. Sima´s started Infinity War aganist Humanity, waged not by endless campaings but psychic warfare and manipulations. For them, Humans are primitive, but useful because of their big number and simple mindendness. Da´Jin Craftworld is located in the Webway Supergate, which unites above planet Hope of Sima that is hid by Webway shroud in Segmentum Pacificus.

    ---History of Da´Jin---

Before the Fall, Craftworld Eldar saw the degeneration process of their race through strong emotions and force to embrace joy. They wanted to separate from those disgusting ways and some houses started to colonize other planets which were far from the core of the most populated places in the Eldar Empire. One such House was House of Sima. Sima´s were amongst the houses that were the most noble and proud of other Eldar among the Craftworld Da´Jin and had many followers. There were thousands who pledged their life to the service of talent Sima´s possesed. The planet they found was named in their name, Hope of Sima. Simas were hated among normal Eldar people, for they love for knowledge and constant researching of Webway, which others saw useless because they thought their kin was on the height of its power. Aboard the Da´Jin and after the years of their service to their kin, others saw their true potential and decided to follow them to their own enlightment. Thus the Twelve Da´s of Sima were named the Seer Council of Da´Jin, thus leaving this Cratworld to the command of knowledge.

In the meanwhile, planet was surrounded by big bonesinger operation founded by Sima and was hid as part of top secret project which was called „Tyr´Daiad“ with the new Webway Shroud tech being used to surprass eyes of prayers.

    --„Tyr´Daiad“--

Need of such creation came to existence when Seer Council of Sima saw the inevitable end of Eldar race. Idea of this project was to create massive scaled Webway gate above the planet and to create enough place in the Webway to let a Craftworld get in. and stay there until the need to replenish energy comes. After the end of the project, the gate was able to deconstruct, and hide its parts in the Webway gate, that was constructed inside the Abyss of Nan´Daiad.

    ---The Fall---

After the „Tyr´Daiad“ was successfully ended, there were still some trade ships on the way to the Hope of Sima from the core worlds, but in a while, everything went silent. Seers of the Da´Jin heard everything went silent, it felt like loosing family, but their Eldar were still with them. When psychich explosion occured, Seers felt screaming of trilions of Eldar. After this shock they made their move, alerted population on newly colonized planet to leave homes and head to Craftworld. They knew what happened, but couldnt even imagine it would reach such massive scaled horror. This shock didnt touch only Seers, they only felt it earlier then others. It touched all of their kin. Every Eldar had this power in him. Everyone was scared.
Immediatly, the gate was activated. Big explosions of Eldtrich energy occured behind it, singing of Bonsingers was heard all around and the Gate opened and Craftworld entered it.

    ---After the Fall---

After the terrible catasthrophe and birth of Slaneesh happened, Sima councilors made signal with other Eldar Craftworlds and established Webway links between them. With more and more news of Mon´Keigh, everyone aboard started to blame Humans and their Emperor for degeneration of their race. When they tried to warn Humans about power of Chaos, they laughed at them, and this made Mon´keigh even more suspicious. When messages of Humans falling more and more into Chaos were arriving, Simas decided that another way to weaken Slaneesh was not only by holding the souls of their lost kin in the Soulstones, but killing Humans who were close into being possesed.

First known encounter with Council of Sima and thus Da´Jin with Imperium of Man happened in M36 in Sub-Sector Dashad, where Imperial Guard regiment of Dashad Prime was making operations to dig ancient necron artifacts from the ground. This message brought by Alaitoc rangers enraged Da´Jin and thus Zethus of Sima decided to go personally wipe out Human colony before Humans ruined everything. He took his personal Warlock detachment and brought Eldtrich Cataclysm on the Human Colony, totally destroying it, leaving none alive.

Simas see that only possibility of Eldar race surviving is to fight as one with the foes of their kin. With this fact, they will do whatever is needed to ensure survival of anyone who is in the danger. Even when it comes to the ones they call "Damned of their kin" or the Dark Eldar, there were many encounters, when they united aganist greater foes creating temporary alliance. Even though the crimes and behaviour of the Damned is unanswerable, they were and always will be called Eldar.
    Da´Jin Strike Force
Aspect Warriors of Da´Jin are ex-members of fallen Craftworlds because of the fact that Da´Jin posses only Aspect of the Warp Spider Shrine and Dark Reapers Shrine. Majority of original Da´Jin are Seers, other large part of Strike Force are Wraithhosts. (Fire Prism, Vypers, War Walkers as heavy support) If fight becomes too difficult, they can call upon their Warlock Titan.

  6. There's so much I want to improve about my post XD I knew I should've take some breaks and not writing from evening into night... Well... I still hope that you can solve some missspellings in your head :p

    GOOD LUCK EVERYBODY

I would love to see more Craftworlds... or even Ork-Klans! I neraly only see SPEEEEHZ MAHREEEEZ!
  7. Something with Chinese history and Romance of the Three Kingdoms, Eldar are halfy halfy based there, so I borrowed the idea, and changed it to different path :) And thank you :D I was posting it just after you, but your is great as well :) I would imagine having these on Wiki or Lexicanum :D

  8. That would be greatest honoruuu! Aaaah Asian history... and Romance... man that's really smart from you. History is the perfect base for tradegies of any kind. And Eldar are THE tradegy faction of 40k. I mean most of the factions in 40k are based on history.

For example: The Ultramarines based on the ancient Greeks and Romans ; Deathkorps of Krieg: WW1 ; Armageddon Steel Legion/ Valhallan Ice Warriors: WW2 ; Catachan Jungle Fighters: 'Naaam baby ; The White Scars: Mongolians ...and I think Saim-Hann is also based on the Mongolians or the Huns ETC. ETC.

The Eldar have a lots of words which descend from the celtic language. A lot of ascpects of the Eldar seem Asian. because they're very... if not even the most spiritual/ mental race out there. The Yin-Yang Symbols and their perfection for one certain path. I mean a lot of Asians are also pretty spiritual and work hard and their life long for perfection. And don't forget the suppress of feelings, because feeling is a sign weakness in their society and discipline is the highest virtue... Perfect example?: China and Japan. Of course hardcore stereotypes like that are not always/ in any case true. :D But a damn good principles.

Isn't my Craftworld scheme strange? I mean Eldar, which are that friendly and open?
  9. I didnt knew that about Imperial Guard legions, I guessed that Death Korps are more Nazi based :D Idk why, thanks for info :)

Yep, not that strange, Feelings werent sign of weakness, they just have to restrict them, because Eldar feel emotions xxx times stronger on higher levels of existence, thats why Slaneesh lives :D :D They didnt before, and it went from bad to disgusting. Craftworld Eldar are same as people in our society who see how humanity is degenerating, becoming lazy and so... are considered "crazy or stupid or conspiracists" by the bigger mainstream mass etc. Same happened there, Eldar were degenerating, but Craftworld Eldar saw that degeneration and decided to stay on Craftworlds stripped by their own kin... look who lives now and who is dead... Eldar these days have problem making children, cause Eldar life takes over 100 years of continuos partnership to form, and it comes with 150x times stronger emotions than human sex comes, and there it is where Slaneesh thrives to catch your soul =( Bad things happened, thats why every Eldar life is costly... as I say, one Eldar for thousand human lives... thats why armageddon happened :D but I am writting too much, I know you know as you are my kin :D :D Just when I start I cant stop.

  10. Daaayum you have a very good perception mind. Yes... true... sometimes isolation from the rest is the way to saftey and a possible future. Actually it's pretty smart of the Eldar to be so shuttered and distrustful. What was it again I once read? "Eldar don't enjoy the gift of insouciance after death, like the humans do". ...was it Kayleth from DoW2 Retribution saying that or another Eldar Character?...

I'm really happy to suffer from "mainstreamophobia" in real life XD Isn't it wonderous, that something like the Eldar originate from human minds? Wouldn't that mean that you have to be either an "old soul" or self a mysterious/ secretive person, to really understand or sympathise with the imagination of the Eldar? ...oooh that goes into a deep conversation. But I really should stop here, because it's already off topic and I'm sorry for that. I JUST CAN'T RESIST, if it goes so deep and spirited...
