All aspects of the Warlock information thread is to list all we know about the Warlock, his powers, his weapons and gear, not least his appearance and craftworld options/bonuses. As well feel free to discuss these mechanics, tactics and general discussion about using the Warlock. If you have any really awesome pics of Warlocks, or craftworld color schemes, please post them as well. This thread is inspired by the Chaos Sorcerer information thread here http://forum.eternalcrusade.com/threads/the-sorcerer-information-thread.4955/ by DJemoSRB who has a lot of info on the psyker classes. The second post will contain all the info on the class which I will keep up to date. Please discuss all things Warlock and if you have official source or rumour please post it as well as link if you have for it. I absolutely love the Warlock and Farseer, and in the TT I've always played Seer Councils regardless if they are good or bad depending on edition. So to further my passion I look forward to all things Warlock. Slannesh is our greatest enemy and Chaos will truly understand that we will let their galaxy burn in the eye of terror. I have searched to make sure this wasn't created prior. Role: Offense, Support I think he means that if you choose support powers you can still choose weapons that make you more offensive. I will try to get this one clarified. Psychic Powers: Looking forward to seeing Warlocks in action. Looks like they are including Perils of the Warp, but somewhat controllable compared to the TT where it is just a random roll. Weapons: Can you throw your Singing Spear and does it return to you automatically? So they are still working that out to how it will work.
Reserved for class info, more coming soon. Warlock Class Ablilities: - Warlock Powers: - Warlock Weapons: - Warlock Gear: - Craftworld Bonuses: =Ulthwe= =Iyanden= =Biel Tan= =Saim Hann=
if you want to get official infos fast then I suggest to ask Brent anything you want to know about this topic that's the way how djemo got most of the stuff in his thread ^^
Some quotes about psychic powers, Warlock gear and support classes in general: (Answering my question about Warlocks being able to throw singing spears) This is all from the Official basic class list thread, I'm sure we could get more stuff about how psychic power work from the sorcerer thread.
I'm hoping that you can either use the Warlock as a support type or as a combat type. Warlocks are seers on the path of the seer that cant quite get rid of their martial ways, they are far more aggresive than the farseer. All i really want is too use the Destructor power on chaos filth
if psyckers dont get at least one direct targeted energy type attack I will be sorely dissapointed, rather be chucking lightning at someone then "debuffing" like a WOW warlock and their stupid DOTs
I want Immolate even more. Burn baby burn! I am looking for official game info, credible rumors and any of the mechanics / lore applicable to how they should function. Which craftworld has the best warlocks ext. I will try to sort thru the class info to add to main post and keep it updated. Adding some good pics of Warlocks to boosts the imagery / theme of the thread, so have at. Thanks for the quotes, I will add them to main post and try to organize info. As for the throwing of Singing Spears part, I was curious about this too but not seeing that answered. Can you throw the spear, and does it return or do you have to run over and pick it back up? I know in TT you never have to pick it up or have an ammo count of spears on your back, which would suck if you did, lol.
They never answer that, they just say they were intended at launch but not 100% confirmed... my guess is that we will throw the spear but we will be at least a few seconds disarmed.
I hope that Warlocks are treated first as a combat class and only second as a support one. That is because while I know most powers in the TTG are "supportysh", in the lore Warlocks are first and foremost warriors. (Spiritseers for me feel a far better "full" support class). The other thing I hope is that CS and Warlocks while similar (Psyker Damage Dealers) do not play exactly the same. I would expect CS´s getting stronger attacks if they sacrifice/risk things vs the more ordered Eldar approach. PS: Which unit is stronger in TT: Chaos Sorcerer or Warlock?
