And the Tome of Knowledge... R.I.P WAR, you have been one of my favorites MMO in recent years with one of the most exciting RvR. THANK YOU.
oh man the tome of knowledge, that was pretty cool. Thinking back, they really must have put in considerable effort for that, 0_0
It was a beautiful game. I'll always remember the epic fight with the first heroic quest against the daemon of hte blood god when starting off as a Destructive member. The game was good for a time and will be missed. I still have the C.E. comic and Ork Boss model My only complaint was the fact that I was a Tzeentch follower. I wanted too be a Nurgle knight or very least a Khornate.
Mostly, I'm glad the fans have come here.... if WAR had to die to make EC a better game... it is then an acceptable sacrifice.
That was my problem too, they didn't let you choose what god you were serving. I constantly had to get green dye to colour my armour green for nurgle.
To be fair though it wasn't done for no reason they explained why they only gave you Tzeentch quite fairly Khorne - Everyone is the same class/No Caster option Slaanesh - Censorship issues would mean it's impossible to represent them authentically Nurgle - Similar issues to the above two.
I don't understand the nurgle one though . . nurgle could have all the same classes as tzeentch. I don't see why Khorne couldn't have some kind of alternate zealot in addition to the marauder and chosen classes. And if you look at the Slaanesh models, they don't actually show boobs (most of the time)
Perhaps but these were just the official lines; for instance while the Slaaneshi ones don't show boob they are toned down and less authentic than they should be from eyes in place of nipples to phalic tentacle grows in place of bears the Slaaneshi forces are a lot more graphic than what we got in WAR which is why WAR's Slaaneshi didn't have quite the right feel to them. Khornate marauders, chosen would be just the same thing really with no variation in powers beyond Chop, Chop, Chop, Shout, Slash. While casters aren't Khornate a zealot would be difficult to work in since it's blood rituals would be limited at best. Nurgle had a few issues with difficulty/complexity of visual concept rendering, lack of class diversity and gore censorship issues (yea weird to worry about gore in a GW franchise right?)
I would have to agree there. WAR was a good game, but the style of the MMO has become a norm in the industry and it's only with games like EC, SWTOR, & the Elder Scrolls that the game is expanding to new ideas.
