Well Malcador said to the Emperor in an HH novel how the Emperor should have made the Primarchs female, probably because he believes they'd have worked together better thus avoiding the Heresy. (Which would make a great What If....? story. Especially if it also caused a Heresy/Civil War.)

And he's using the Fused form of the Crystal Gems, Alexandrite, from Steven Universe as a prime example.
