So artificer armor for example modifies how your character looks but...what if i only want the stats and not the look of it? if i change my legs, arms etc to something diferent will those ugly bands dissappear? i think its a bad idea making us choose to look favolous or be effective....if i bought lets say a mark 5 chestpiece i want the original look of it,i want it clean not with that ugly stuff that you have put on artificer armor, thats what i payed for,a original clean mark 5 chestpiece without iron bands on it. @NoahWard
I guess I would prefer a non intrusive, but clear indicator for enemy wargear. But I am not sure how they would look like?
i find it funny when they come out with rpg stuff like this when we have the TTK of battlefield...indicators for example, like if this was an rpg game,"hey that guy is wearing artificer armor call the plasma guy we have to take him down..."by the time you call for someone with a high pen weapon the guy is dead and respawning already.
You already need to unload 3 seconds at someone, often costing you half the ammo or more of your mag. TTK in this game is incredibly high compared to anything else but The Division maybe, which is diablo with guns.
Have you ever played Mech Warrior? i believe ttk should be somewhere right in the middle between that and what we have here, with the localized damage and all and one life per game, if you've never played it before it encourage you to play MWO, it's a little grindy, but THAT is real strategic FPS.
Well, that is completely different design, which hardly applies in here. You can't really have long TTK and respawn and respawn isn't going away from EC, so you might want to give that idea up.
Depends on your mec I've had my Black Jack and Raven be 1 hitted by gause riffle on Topic. You are entering the transmog debate. for PvP I would really love to see what you are wearing, it give me the Idea of "I need 2 more hits to win" or "screw this I'm out, let the Banshee take him". With the current Icons, Grobs and Halo(s). I can make a decision of how I want to approach the target. Sadly Eldar have no Customisation so you'll never (for now) see the Difference from a Revered Master crafted Banshee and a lv1 Banshee
While the concept of Wargear changing aesthetics sounds great, I'd really like a little check box on each wargear slots that allows me to choose whether or not I want the associated visual. Case in point, the fact that +1 Fuel totally changes the look of your jump pack. I'm not at all a fan of losing the classic look of my jump pack because I equip extra fuel. Classic Jump Pack look. +1 Fuel in WG slot 1 changes the aesthetic. I'm not a fan. It' looks like the engine covers were taken off for maintenance and someone forgot to replace them. The Jump Pack below looks NOTHING like any 30k or 40K Jump Pack. Some may like it, I respect that but I feel we should be able to opt out of the alternate look and stick with the classic look shown above if we choose. We should ALWAYS have the option for our Space Marine to look like SPACE MARINES as seen on Forge World or on Games Workshop webstores.
