Are we going to see any battle cries in this game? And not those mediocre angry taunts you'd hear from a game from the early 2000's but an actual warcry where the character is screaming his guts out as he's charging at you with a chainsword. Like what Chivalry: Medieval Warfare did, but more Warhammer'y. I'm pretty sure it is required for Orks to roar WWWWWWWAAAAAAAAAGGGGGHHHHH! during a gigantic ork charge. It would be disappointing if they didn't. Also will there be a ingame voice communication mechanic in this game like you'd see in Tribes or Team Fortress 2 for basic team coordination? Examples would be "Follow me" or "Attack this area", etc.
jap we will have those right now they only have "for the emperor!" but this will expand with time you also will be able to buy some at the store
Hoping to see this part fleshed out greatly, id enjoy being able to buy god related voice packs later on (or heck on launch if they want to make them, screaming a gods name isnt actually dedication so it doesent clash with the post launch promises).
Here's to hoping that a loud WAAAAAGH! from a hundred mouths will actually have non-Ork players mutter something along the lines of "Awww....fuck".
Have a feeling like 90% of founding members that play orks are gonna RP while playing, sure as hell know that I am. Haha...miss my black orc on W.A.R... :c
would seem atleast some will be required, and will be provided as we go Keep in mind though you will end up with that one guy/girl running beside you who will mash that button - the.. whole... damn... fight
I always liked the idea in the Dawn of War games that the units shouted in combat. It really helped the player in the immersion. Not just the battlecries but the tactical speech (mostly in DoW2). I also remember, when i decided to buy Battlefield: Bad Compay 2 was because the characters spoke/shouted tactical things and alerted eachother aotmatically in the fights depending what was the actual situation. It was pretty neat. I would really really like if BE team would implement something similar. It would give so much to the atmospehere and its probably not that hard to implement. The only question is: will they spend any resources on that.
Like alert people automatically that you're reloading, or have low health and need covering fire. Or something.
