Other people see these reports are get motivated, and that's a GOOD THING!** War Weekend is upon us again! This time we’re gonna switch it up a little and run a grudge match! The weekend of July 28-30, the players and guilds participating will be fighting over the LSM/Eldar continent (don’t worry, CSM and Orks, you guys are up next!). People are free to choose whichever side they want, or not even get involved, but as the organizers we encourage the Ork and CSM players to hop in on either side (*cough*Eldar*cough*) to help the numbers stay good and to keep the war hot. Unfortunately, there is no way to track PvE, so for this war it won’t be factored in. We wish we had a system/way to award everybody, but this is a fan-made campaign and so we can only do what we can. Talron and I will watch the war progress throughout the weekend and at noon & 6pm Eastern US Time of each day we will screenshot and count the number of "territories held." We will keep a running total, and the faction with the most total territories held after the 6pm Sunday count will be the winner. Because we were not specific last time, our goals are to 1) give people a fun weekend event to play, 2) help keep the mood lighter and more competitive, and 3) if we can bump the server population some, great. (Really our goal is to shoot each and every one of you, but let’s keep that on the low, okay? Talron didn’t want me to tell you that...) OUR STANDARD DISCLAIMER: We know the problems with the content, and the maps, and all of that other stuff, but we also know that when you fold in with a bunch of guys having a fun time, then YOU have a fun time, and that's what we are aiming for. (RP lead-in) Forward station Dauntless was on higher alert than usual. Imperial Fists manned the battlements day and night since the beachhead was established some months back, but it had never before been so heavily defended. The reason was inexplicable to all save Daron Hein, Captain of the 4th Company. What those under his command DID know was that he was utilitarian even by the standards of a Son of Dorn, and as such was not comfortable with excessive displays of force. In this case, however, Daron had chose to err on the side of caution rather than expose the war effort to harm while he pondered the importance of the prize before him. In a tiny box, no more than half a foot in any measurement, sat a sparkling oval gem, meticulously preserved and seemingly lit from within. He had ripped it from the hands of an Eldar witch who had sacrificed a dozen of her fellow Xenos in an attempt to flee from him. He had seen countless hundreds of these ‘soulstones’ before, but why would THIS ONE be worth so many of their twisted lives? None could say, and until he understood he was loathe to put the puzzle down, or to let the mysterious stone out of his sight. A motion out of the corner of his eye caused him to involuntarily jerk back, an instant before an impossibly thin whirling chain blade would have removed his head. Grabbing the box as he rolled, Daron recovered to see a lithe warrior clad in green and yellow shimmer back into the darkness from whence he came. “You possess something we require,” came a female voice, as if from three places in the room at once. It rang of determination and venom. “You have been puzzling at it for days, Mon Keigh, but could not possibly understand its importance. Leave it on the table and I shall be on my way.” Daron steeled himself, his every sense straining to detect the slightest movement that would herald the Scorpion’s attack. “By Dorn you will have to rip this from my corpse just as I tore it from the witch who I broke to take it. Why is it so important to you?” The air became tense, pregnant with the expectation of battle. Elsewhere in the fortress, alarm klaxons began to go off. The foul creature’s allies had been detected. Suddenly, the Eldar shimmered back into focus and lunged, but Daron Hind was no fool. He sidestepped, rolled away from the swing, and then sprang back into the fight, his augmented muscles and power armor moving him with an agility that wouldn’t be possible otherwise. He threw a jab that struck true, breaking one of the mandibles of the Eldar’s helmet. His next swing caught the Scorpion in the throat. Daron squeezed as he stood to his full height, lifting her several feet in the air. The xeno struggled for breath as Daron squeezed slightly harder. Even unarmed, a Captain of the Adeptus Astartes was easily the match for one assassin. At that moment, he realized there were two. The second’s chainblade cut into the back of his knees as the female looked down, the remaining mandible firing a blinding flash into his face. Daron blindly threw the female to the corner of the room, but not before he felt the box slip from his belt and into the hands of the second Scorpion. As the Eldar both cartwheeled back towards the door, the female smiled, part of her bloody grin visible through the damage to her helm. “In trade, I bring a portent. Remember the name ‘Elrakae,’ Human. It shall be your doom.” His vision returning to him and his muscles recovering enough to stand, Doran growled, “And who is this ‘Elrakae,’ that I might end them along with all of the rest of your kind?” As the Scorpions turned and faded from sight, the female’s voice echoed. “I am Elrakae…” Daron cursed as he staggered back to his desk and recovered his helmet. Activating the Vox bead, Daron’s words were simple. “Ready the Company and its allies, Sons of Dorn! We go now to wipe the Xenos off of this continent!”
As always WCA will be leading so war parties into this event. We will start by playing Eldar to help kick start the show and to help show that even a faction as frail as the Eldar can still stand firm against the LSM. After words of course we will host some LSM matches to help the new players out but that is for a later date.
So the Dance begins... Our Screams will leave the foes covering in fear. Our Shurikens will cut their muscles and blind their eyes. And when our Blades finally kiss their flesh, they will long have abandoned all hope. The Dance begins and we have known every step, long before your kind first infested this world. The Farseers proclaim victory on every path, we will strike from the skies and hide in the shadows, none can be spared. Also, if we loose, you never get to say 'Eldar OP' ever again. I hope we get plenty of participants, interesting fights and also get to see some fine sportsmanship, even if guildstomps happen.

And what will be the faction-winner on the outcome of the event. Some RTS? Or only the joy of triumphing over the hated xenos / slaves of the emperor?
@Hitroy We are trying to figure that out right now on our end but to be honest it's mainly just bragging rights. The goal isn't to win something. It's to make a point and whatever that point may be is up to you lot. Ours is to help the toxic nature within the county fade away and if we boost numbers or help retain new players so be it.
