The count is not about players wins but race win. Yes it means that Eldar/Ork/CSM players had to contribute more. Factions not being numerically equal means that LSM will often fight the same eldar/ork/csm players and often outnumber the faction they are fighting (rarely happens, as matchmaking do thing right about that). At the end, the result is here, on all those conflicts, LSM has near double of victory amount compare to recently nerfed races while before, they was a little bit under. LSM and CSM were shoulder to shoulder, and now it's clearly not the case. (based on your add about CSM victories. Ty about it)
"if they use ALL the tools at their disposal" is painfully accurate statement, because if you don't, you're NOT going to even go past the doors into the defended point. Eldar do not have plasma cannon AoE weapon to shoot inside the point or durability nor DPS to actually go in and clean the defended point. From my experience so far, its nearly impossible to assault well defended point as eldar post patch now, its completely impossible for PUGs and its extremely challenging for guilds compared to say, LSM "have pet apo use survival vial on you, throw LOLSKULL and steamroll everything inside with vengance stormbolter".
From what i remember those numbers were a bit misleading as they only counted people who nearly purely played one faction (can't remember what the criteria was though if they even said). No doubt LSM has the most players at any given time but we need some legit (and updated) numbers of like the average number of match joins per day for each faction or something so people who play multiple factions are still counted.
Eldar's Melta are kind of a big joke. We rely on grenade to be efficient on tank and secondary weapon is more efficient to kill without being killed. They are, without doubt, those who have less options against vehicles, compare to other races. I approve that Hawk is actually a Eldar's forte. They are mobile, fast (if they boost, else it's the same as other), but their attack power is medium and their armor low. The recent grenade nerf didn't helped. Few maps allow Hawk to use their full potential as the majority of building are not destroyed and offer few opening except windows. edit: and with dmg fallout they do not have the ability to take-down target at medium/long range. Except if the target is brain dead and stay still. Melee is broken, near everyone share the same opinion about it. Eldar's mobility is the same as other, LSM animation give illusion of a heavy/slow soldier, but it's the same mobility for all races. Eldar lack of turtle shredding capacity. No full range burst weapon (aka sniper), no massive aoe weapon (heavy plasma launcher, chaos sorcerer spell). Without saying LSM got a new very powerful tool, skull drone: Powerful to debuff just before an assault, even more powerful when you turtle as the assaulter will not have time to search for them.
Wow, am i the only person who doesn't forget the Reaper Launcher exists? I've really made some players rage by shelling turtle positions with the anti-vehicle missiles, so if you want some AoE ranged just find a better vantage point Yeah, it doesn't have the snapshot capability of the Plasma cannon, but the artillery function is just as viable as LSM
I voted good, also only a bit sad about current melee state. Otherwise its ok. As for eldar..Banshee kills you with 2 heavy hits from the front? Through relic armour? Instead of 3-4 heavy attacks? Please. And yes, that is called balance - you are lethal, but you have lower survivability.
The reaper launcher died for me, its AI poke Is much harder due to it being buggy and slow and its AV has now died, way too slow to kill a tank, furthermore Starswarm is even worse now. I use the gun but it nerfs me as a player, the only advantage is I might get that good spot and get some kills, other than that its a quad killer and vet killer at best, also its bad for breaching, no decent ability to do so, if you could curve starswarm then maybe. I do agree that its decent for sniping heavies though, that is probably its best strength right now and you can slowly drop those tickets on those style maps but I tend to find people now roll at the shots I fire at them so it's semi harder these days.
Everyone with a power sword will do, it's the new toughness/perforation system. Eldar prefer Scorpion to Banshee right now. Eldars have lower survival ability, yes, but they do not have the lethal ability as SM, way under. Their lethal ability is supposed to be on a combination of mobility and high burst dmg output: they have medium dps output and same mobility as other race.
I cant kill any other race with two frontal heavy power sword attacks (except eldar). Banshee does that through relic armour to anyone.
They are marginally faster, have slightly smaller hitboxes and a bunch less health. As far as I can tell, they're not looking to make Eldar Glass Cannons so much as Hard-To-Hit Glass. Right now TTK for Eldar and SM is pretty much the same at a ranged weapon's short-range. The difference is Bolters have the advantage at distance and use considerably less of their magazine to kill a target than an ASC. Stalker Bolters can now zoom in and peg Eldar who are running between cover, knowing they can do so with impunity because there's little chance the Eldar will ever get close enough to do any meaningful damage in return. The best the Eldar can hope for is to draw the enemy's fire and hope a Swooping Hawk is nearby to flank the Marine.
