However, the unintentional (I assume) bias in the official poll suggests they may be a majority. Which this poll may well help to counteract. I was planning on setting up something like this, but Luciasar evidently had the same idea and beat me to it. I'm proud to say that "No, I am will get founders anyway."
I am aware of the bias in the official poll, but I honestly hope this is just a vocal minority. Insisting on having direct advantages over other players because you paid more eventually will ruin your own fun with the game, and I think people know that.
the problem is: in the official pool people tell yes they want founder to have unique gameplay. the No is a small (vocal) minority. or people want the unique gameplay or people don't understand the official question.
I know what you mean. I believe (or rather, hope) that those people who chose "Yes, but be careful" think this entails gameplay mechanics that are aesthetical in nature only - unique executions, special taunts, etc. If not, then this game is in one big load of trouble.
yes i hope. but the question ask about unique gameplay element, so they want unique gameplay not cosmeic.
I too felt that the official poll had two yes answers and one no. Be it careful or not both gave a green light to the gameplay changing founder limited extras. I'm glad some of you guys actually made an alternative poll. I'm buying a founder's pack but expect nothing more than cosmetics out of it. I don't see the need for stat altered weapons or different vehicles to be locked from non-founders. Be the difference/stat change small or big.
Warhammer for me is about appearance, we all love killing the heretics and xenos scum, but looking like a complete badass while doing it makes much better
I think the official poll had an almost resigned feel too it, as though people were like "ok, you're doing this, and I think it's kinda risky but I guess go ahead". Like it was clear the devs had already decided and people were just going with the flow. I don't think anybody should be resigned about this. A lot of people on the forums are planning to get founders, and thus will suffer no negative affects from this decision. But a lot of people have gotten in touch with their friends, and gaming communities, and are getting overwhelmingly negative responses to this idea. This isn't about us, it's about them. I want my friends to play this game with me, and I want them to do it without feeling excluded. I trust the EC devs implicitly, but this is a AAA title coming from the publishers of Naughty Bear and WET, so I'm anticipating there's going to be a lot of distrust right up until the game launches. People who felt they needed to be careful shouldn't be punished.
