If unique vehicles and weapons with different mechanical stats (not cosmetics) are not included, you will not buy founders, but if they are, you will. This is obviously an ongoing discussion elsewhere, but I'm curious about the aspect that probably matters the most to the devs: are unique mechanics critical to your interest in a founders pack? Are you itching for unique gameplay mechanics? Or are cosmetics and early access enough? EDIT: "am will" oh god embarrassing sorry.
I was gonna get founders shit for cosmetics, and the "Tacticool" variants are just a (rather strange) dollop of icing on this bad boy.
I'll support the game no matter what carrots they put on the stick. I'd still prefer it if founders-only weapons and wargear weren't included, though. Every variant of weaponry and the like should be available to everybody. Go mad with cosmetics, but don't restrict access to things that actually have an impact on game play regardless of how insignificant it may seem.
I have a better idea: Let founders have twice as much health as normal players and allow them to instakill other players. After all, they have invested more money into the game than those lowly plebs and hence should be able to steamroll through the enemy ranks, because if the devs already can't deliver hookers and blowpipes, they at least should assure the founder that bribery is a completely acceptable thing. Seriously though, how do you even imagine that? Do you really want to add unique gameplay mechanics so a small part of the playerbase can feel special, and do you want to permanently lose said mechanics because the founders may or may not jump the train at one point or another? I do not so much mind unique cosmetics, but founders should be no different from regular players gameplay-wise. Otherwise, you might as well cut the P2P scheme and make it P2W instead.
whoa whoa whoa I hope you didn't feel that was actually my opinion. I hate the idea - this is something that the devs have suggested, and so far the responses have mostly been "ok, if you're sure, but be careful" or "wow I dunno guyz" without a lot of conviction. I want to gauge how many people really want this as a founders bonus, and how many people are happy with just cosmetics and early access as I am. I tried to make the opening post as neutral as possible to keep things unbiased, but if you think it sounds leading one way or the other I'll rewrite it.
Well i have decided to participate in the Founders one way or the other, since my God worship fix will not be that well presented outside God Marks in the vanilla game, the Founders pack promises God cosmetics so i dont have much choice really...... But id be lying if i said i didnt want to see how they would go with the idea, i am skeptical, but hell they seem like they know what they are doing. Voted for option 2.
I'm planning to get it too - it's my usual gaming friends I'm concerned about. I mentioned this to one of them this afternoon, and his first words were, I swear to god, "that sounds Pay to Win". Doesn't matter if it's balanced or not, that's just how people see it, and it's the kind of sentiment I'd like to see EC avoid.

Ah, don't worry. I'm sorry if that came over as a personal attack, but I thought that something so over-the-top would be difficult to take serious. Though I actually find the idea of hookers with attack blowpipes strangely appealing. In any case, I personally think the majority of people who buy the founder's pack are after early access and such stuff. Those who demand functionally unique weapons and/or mechanics, while existent, most likely are a small minority - a fact for which I am rather grateful.
