Could be all sorts of things - hardware/software conflicts unique to.your setup. Could be an I/O conflict in the Bios. If you are using a soundcard, try switching slots (if you have spare slots) on the mobo. I hate audio issues; I went back to on board audio as my soundblaster was always causing issues of one kind or another (Oh and I worked in food processing for over 10yrs - it's come a long way, you now have a 50/50 chance of getting what is described on the pack - cross your fingers and shut your eyes was our motto in QA )
But realistically you'll probably only kill heretics every few hundred days, but you definitely want to be reading the Codex every day. I think they should have the reading of the Codex be in real-time and there'll be an exam at the end of each day to be sure you were paying attention. In all seriousness though, it could work similarly with Space Marines, where you start as a Scout, then become Assault, Devastator and finally Tactical. By the time you're a Tactical you can use all the good shit all at the same time. Then once you hit Tactical you can become a Sergeant>Veteran Sergeant>Captain for one of the three. Chaos could have dedication to a chosen Ruinous Power and gain strength through mutation. Or they could pick and choose the powers they like whilst Undivided, which keeps them mutation-free, but locks out the more beastly powers that are reserved for each God's Chosen. Orks could actually get bigger as they gain power like was supposed to happen in Warhammer Age of Reckoning.
DLB, actually. Well, not technically a full member yet, although I probably will be soon. I have my in-game voice chat turned off so I can hear Teamspeak. Although my first almost a week of solo playing I didn't hear a single person use it. I didn't even know it existed until I read about it in the forum. In any game I've played with built-in VoIP I've never seen more than 1 to 3 people use it at most. Overwatch ranked mode has the honor of being the most VoIP using game I've ever seen by far, but even in Overwatch usually only half the team has mics. Atlas Reactor has a feature that lets you automatically join a Discord room with your random teammates when you queue. I played for months and literally only met two people (grouped with each other) that used it. So that's exactly one out of several thousand matches where anyone but me used voice, and it's a very teamwork dependent game. I've just never seen the effort to put in built-in voice chat not be a waste of dev time that nobody ever uses. Oh please. It doesn't take any effort. At least not unless you're joining a tryhard e-sports clan that actually has tryouts and mandatory practice. Normal clans are super easy to join though. I spent less than 5 minutes applying to DLB. In return I get a guaranteed 2 squads of people working together and using voice chat every day and win 99% of my games. The effort of joining a clan is really trivial, especially compared to the benefits.
I've found VOIP to be useful since it's been added to this game. If anyone is expecting it to make every team of randoms run like a well oiled machine they are deluding themselves. However it's been enough to make a difference in several matches I've been in. Dismissing VOIP as a failure is like dismissing a weapon in this game, just because you don't bother to learn to use it correctly doesn't automatically mean no-one can.
