norse accents, since so much of the space wolves culture is based off of the norse tribes (aka Vikings)
Space Wolves - space vikings with Scandinavian accents. I feel like if they were Scottish they'd be like the Scotsman in Samurai Jack. And with Night Lords/Nostraman, I picture sounding like the Parseltongue, or the language of serpents in Harry Potter. But with more force/anger and more bass tone to it.
I realise that they are supposed to be Vikings, but UK accents seem to be the dominant theme of voices in the Warhammer Universe regardless of what the culture is based off, both in the books and the video games. (Imperial fists = Prussians, Ultramarines = Romans (despite the Omega), Emperor's Children = Ancient Egyptians, etc). My point wasn't to voice them based on their implied culture, but rather based on their character.
You mean, the Thousand Sons are Ancient Egyptians? (and Ultramarines could totally be greek culture too)
Yes, I meant Thousand Sons! Sorry, I don't know why I said Emperor's Children. The reason why I think that Ultramarines are Roman is firstly that all their names are either based on real Roman names, or of Roman weapons, (not a single Greek name, I've checked) and secondly, the inspiration of the Codex Astartes, written by their Primarch, strikes me as being the Epotoma Rei Militaris, a text advocating the reform of the Roman military.
Check out Spacemarine game with Mark Strong voicing captain Titus and the Ultramarines film for Ultramarine accents, so basically Queens' English. With control of the IP, GW won't change the Ultramarines accents for this game. For Space wolves I would like to a hear a Scandinavian accent.
I kinda imagined space wolves would have a Russian accent! Or possibly Nordic as they are almost like "Space Vikings"
