Now, we pretty much know the typical voices and accents in the Warhammer Universe, being that Orks are an exaggeration of the football hooligan stereotype, Eldar have that graceful voice and clipped accent, Chaos and the average Space Marine have an authoritative RP accent. My one question is - What will the Space Wolves sound like? Personally, I've always imagined them to have a soft, high-class Scottish Accent to reflect their somewhat more warrior-type culture, but keep the sense of authority and status of the rest of the Space Marines. Alternatively, I could imagine a Northern English accent. The reason I ask is that this is effectively the first voiced computer game where Space Wolves have any significant role, and it could set the standard of Wolf voices for the future. Of course, I'm sure Games Workshop itself would have the answer to this question, but I'm curious as to what you think? Do the Wolves sound like their brethren or are they different?
I could imagine a Space Wolf with a Scottish accent shouting profanities at enemy forces in the heat of battle, "Ya call that armour ya Eldar b*****ds!" I feel that would fit them reasonably well.
Based off of the way they are portrayed in speaking through out the Space Wolf series of novels, and the comics; I'd imagine that they would sound more Northern European, then English. I.E. Finnish / Dutch / Swedish
Well we are the sons of Russ, so why not Russian? But on the other hand its true that the chapter based on a northern ethnic group-like people, so Dutch or Norwegian would be the better.
good god, my sides. Hehe. slightly offtopic -Night Lords, I'm not sure on what sort of accent would come close to it, but Nostraman was described as being 'hissy and ashy'. At least, that's what Bowden described as in Blood Reaver. All hail Bowden, amazing writer. Speaking of which, we should totally drag him into these forums. Back on topic - Something Norse sounding. Like... hingadingadurgen.
I've always thought of the Space Wolves as vikings in power armour. Especially since applicants are selected due to feats in battle, often being carried off to heaven when they 'die' in battle. So I would imagine a Scandinavian accent.
