I voted for in game with mod. Use vent but i would use other types if needed. Look's like some people might still use other then in game voice chat, Got a idea to help with that and for people that might have anxiety issue's i remembered that Xbox 360 had a in game chat messaging and also a voice messaging option that let you leave someone a 10-15 sec voice message maybe you can set it up so people can macro a voice message to a key and for use if other's or close but not in your party / strike force. Open voice macro click and high light option 1. click record and say a short saying / statement / war cry Exp, " Lookout They have Flanked us" " Kill Them All" "Lookout Sniper" "Wry Cry from the different faction's" "And many more" Then macro to the key that you want to use. And a list of random "Death Emote's" when you die that is randomly picked by the sever. Even better idea when people die / downed state that way they wont be able to troll rage someone, but still able to talk to their strike force. Just a idea to help out
Most astartes got some badass baritone voices. I do expect a voice filter in the name of game immersion or else I'm cursed to be the one with the "girly voice". I'm already blaming too much on Slaanesh as it is.
in-game voice chat is a must! to add a voice modulation would be amazing as well BUT a few drawbacks I see and I will list some pros and cons. Pros: - Great immersion - Roleplaying to a whole new level - Creates lifelong players and bonds Cons: - Heavy on resources for pc/internet connection - People might not understand commands - Might be harder to pull of specific strategies just some minor things I see, I don't think that understanding each other will be a real issue but it might and if you get a few people saying that you can not understand each other their voices will spread and you will get a wasted tool in the end. The advantage some things like teamspeak and ventrillo have is that they use very low resources and are custamizable. Where as you can lower a specific person volume, push to speak, limitations to chat rooms and passwords, mini versions for less resources, you can also raise the resource usage of your PC for a clearer voice comm and less/more lag on voice transmission. You create your own expense, this will have to be implemented if you would like to have a successful in game voice chat.
If we get to sound like this. View: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d2WEFlQva30&list=PL62E6EFDAC11DA385
ill be getting the xbox version so i assume this wont apply, not sure if you could add custom voices xbox chat?
I would love the ingame voice chat to modulated but with the option to turn it off....but since I'm such a sceptic for ingame voice chat i would most likely use Teamspeak3/Mumble since i got burned to many times with ingame voices and I don't want to be true that hell again if they stop to work or are to loud or something you know
Its been mentioned here before, a voice modulator would be nice. As long as its doesn't effect the performance of servers etc. edit: whoops someone else seem to like Ahriman
I must say dear Sir I like your taste in art and just for some Ahriman love You may hold in your hand the power to remake all things, but if you do not know what you would change, then you hold nothing at all. --Sorry I couldn't help myself --
Sure is a wicked picture and an awesome quote. Ill see if I will use my power of change to swap my avatar. (I doubt it )
As cool as it sounds... No. I'd rather have different commands like in Counter-Strike that is pre-recorded.
