Veteran Rework

    I'm not really bothered with a measuring contest of broken shit, they'll both be hilariously overpowered.
    As said, I'd rather have Veterans just be a replacement for one class, giving you 400 LP extra on each loadout and a vet helmet, that's it.

    I don't really share that observation. In my experience, they have changed the things I care about more or less exactly in the ways I hope for... it just takes them a long ass time to even mention that they have taken notice of it.

    Recent examples would be melee. Anyone who reads the shit I post knows I was pushing for them to increase the tactical Dbash stun length in the very least. I also wanted less durability loss for the knife, something Brent has talked about looking at in livestreams. They did what we all screamed for about the plasma cannon: they reduced it's blast damage. Maybe it needs a little more gutting, but either way they have done exactly as requested. On top of that they came up with the idea of wall capture points to reduce the problem of players just hiding behind capture points. They also gutted melta (rightfully so, in my opinion) exactly as I wanted.

    It was the same experience for me in Alpha. Melee attacks were too slow and backpeddling was too fast. They fixed that. Fast attacks could infinitely stagger. They fixed that. JPA's were immune to Dbash over christmas 2015. They fixed that (allbeit 5 months later).

    So apparently Warlocks and Hawks only get +80 armour.

    But JPA get +120. *sigh* I thought JPA spam was finally going to die. Hopefully with animation polish on Banshees, Eldar will have some means to hold them off.

    Thats only ever going to happen if they either limit jpa mobility somehow or reduce the swing speed on almost every melee weapon.

    Meta counters- The easy solution here is to spam poison as much as you can. The ailment bypasses armour and toughness. SoC, narthecium, urty syringe, and sikky slugga are your first access choices (all supports, interesting). Necrotic chainsword, poison knife, and the lash of scorpion (or something, the SS chainsword unique) will be be your second choices.

    Rokkits will still OHK, not sure about about the reworked plasma cannon, or the kannon (will update). Power fist/klaw will go from 2 fast attacks to 3. Autocannon (even with rework) seems a strong contender (more an element of its excellent nature than any meta value I think). Some concern that plasma/meltagun won't have enough heat capacity to actually down. Hope the high dps of combi-/stormbolter, big shoota, and TLASC provide value, but they're not well suited for high toughness.

    Quick Question, does Destructor ignore toughness? If so then it might be worth something.

    So basically the Eldar Vet will have more visual customization than any other Eldar class, maybe even combined....

    Dragons - Green Gems
    Avengers - Purple
    Warlock - Red
    Banshee - Pink
    Hawk - ??
    Reaper - ??
    Scorpion - Red

    But why?I mean why not have this as options for the normal classes aswell?Its not as if the eldar need some help when it comes to customization right?
