uhh how are we supposed to sneak up behind when the Wraithlord shoots at the slightest sight of an enemy? or even worse, our Strikeforce agrees to a temporary alliance with SM and the Wraithlord keeps gunning them down? AI is always the worst way to implement something and to be honest i already break out in random spasms hitting my head onto my desk when i think about all the things that will go wrong with the nids.
Like you never played shooter games before. Slot 1 - your main gun. (two guns in that case, just like PS/PS2 MAX suit). Slot 2 - secondary. Slot X - melee. Done.
You could give ceasefire, confirm target and free fire commands to do that and add ally data into it. Frankly if you plan on sneaking as a Wraithlord you're pretty hardcore anyway.
So you either want to make a pet out of it or integrate a AI controlled cannon which would make the unit even stronger as he could smash away in melee while still firing. Which is both not fun to play. Why not just adjust him so that it 1) costs a ton of requisitions 2) needs a lot of unlocks to be able to play him 3) set a limit to the number of active units 4) reduce base speed and give it a sprint ability, which would slow him down overland but still enable him to reach tanks etc to use his melee ability's Which would be imho a lot more fun to play than a nerfed down, half AI controlled unit. I dont plan on sneaking up on troops but i plan on holding position without giving away that we set up a trap. (still hope to be able to crouch and that we have at least some biome with decent cover) And a AI cannon which autofires on everything just because its in range would be not helpful for that.
ai controlled turrets would increase more load on the server witch would affect ping i think ai turrets would suck
i really hope they have war walkers...and jet bikes, and vypers, and falcon grav tanks and all kinds of good shtuff.and wraithlords/wraithguard
I just hope that they will make a difference between the individual transports of the the different factions. It wouldnt be nice to have a Wave Serpent as the Eldar equivalent of the ork trukk or marine Rhino. Also I have no idea how will they balance the serpent since it can actually FLY like all other eldar vehicles. It would give the eldar a HUGE tactical advantage over anyone else which is ok to me but not sure how would it work in an MMO setting.
There is not air combat, so i guess eldar vehicles will hover but not fly, i'm gonna be driving magriders again I'm really curious about how the weapons will work, could the driver fire the main weapon or a secondary? how many seats per tank (land raider should be driver, 2 gunners and also transport some troops...)?
