I look forward to seeing the stats released on everything post launch. Most people even argue against the numbers due to lack of context but generally they show when something is over performing, under performing, abused or not even used. As for the nerfs I am glad they are mostly doing small tweaks, big sweeping nerfs and buffs will hurt the game since people invest so much time in the characters.
Based on the listed nerfs, it really won't make a huge difference too the warlock/banshee melee rmb spam train. Hawks might have a bit more difficult time, but honestly, most people don't have the awareness too shoot back at em anyways it just mean you need a extra bullet. The only real problem might be the reaper nerf since every other faction OP aoe death machine was untouched. Edit: Nvm, if they didnt touch the secondary fire for the reaper launcher its still OP
You do realize that nobody on the Eldar side except Hunter's Mark abuser & Scorpion players care about this patch right ? For instance as a dediated DA main, I litteraly give 0 f*ck about this. The GM of the guild that welcomed me already stated that he doesn't want to see any of our player to abuse HM. As a level 5 Eldar player, I want HM to be nerfed, properly, along with Rites of Fire and Abaddon's Grace, but the Scorpion nerf comes out of nowhere since almost every faction can insta-kill other players from behind with a power attack and +damage weapon, they don't even need stealth. A lot of players are basically just using Eldars as a convenient scapegoat for their own shortcomings, once the nerfs applied, i'm eager to see what people's excuse will be for losing. I have already seen SM & CSM pugs winning by sticking together, contesting points together and setting up heavy AoE denial defenses, which the Eldars have a lot of trouble with. All it took was a couple competent plasma heavies, apoth/sorcs doing their jobs at key places and a lot of mobile JP troops moving together. I have only joined this community since a week or so and already the childishness of certain posters just tire me.
No there are LOTS of other fixes - there will be patch notes soon. I want to stress that what's in the original post are SHORT-TERM fixes - and it's possible that some of them are wrong-headed and will need adjustments. That's why the wider fixes, including improvements to the Space Marines, will be coming next week when we can spend more time on analysis. This is just a corrective since something needed to be done soon. Our top priorities for the next two weeks are: * Fixes * Faction Balance * Adding more appearance items with a greater diversity/cheaper options (but let's not get bogged down by that in this thread). We'll be talking more about the above in Twitch tomorrow, as well as what's planned for the next few months.
Welcome to the hell that is being an SM Tactical I agree with the CQC being too good. Tone down or remove the single shot option at least. As for one shotting a direct hit, why in the world do you think anything not in a tank would be left standing after a mortar blast like that. They should fix the display so you can see it coming better, but that is mostly a lag issue. If you fail to move when you see/hear a mortar round coming at you thats on you. EDIT: Sorry for the edits... my brain went into LaTex mode and formatted incorrectly
Does that include giving purpose to master crafted weapons and different weapon bases other then colors and overpaying LP?
Yes, this game was an absolute blast, you guys took the advantage by willingly sacrificing lives to perform an early triple objective contestation, then it all went downhill for us. Also tough to crack PlasCan denial zones and Jump troops moving in pack. I believe our Dire Avengers did most of the heavy work as well, which tells a lot about perceived OPness amongst Eldar classes.
I dont know if you will reply, but are there any plans for vehicles? Especially, Falcon? Cause that switching, fast overheating, same munition for both weapons, and weak anti/vehicle + laggy tower makes it little ... well, vehicle useful only for blocking the pathway.
