Well it's quite a lot time elapsed since I have done some modells / animation but I would give it a try. I used a test version of 3d's Max, but I heard of a friend that Blender is a free one ? not sure and of course I have no experience with blender. Even 3ds max would take some time to get back into...
I have the time, and the will until september (my summer slack gonna end that time) though sadly not any experience. If the needed stuff provided, I'll give it a shot for sure.
Appreciate all the feedback! I'll be sharing this with the team A couple of you mentioned the contest targets certain people who may already have animation skills, etc. We will be hosting a variety of contests which will sometimes appear to "target" certain parts of the community. This isn't meant to exclude anyone, rather offer a variety of contests. Right now we're wanting to gauge interest and hear your feedback. Thanks
I'm totally willing to try if a program was supplied, models were given and maybe a little tutorial or something.
Animation as in 3D only or 2D? 'Cause I can totally do some 2D stuff. I primarily use Adobe After Effects and Sony Vegas 12. What would be really cool to have from you when making a video would be images of backgrounds, foreground material and the characters of course. Effects like fog or dust and other atmospheric elements are also very welcome. The characters should preferibly be layered in Photoshop or something similiar so each bodypart is movable on its own but still connected to the main body. Also, a font would be perfect if text of any kind is to be inserted. Oh and sounds for the sound design. That'd be absolutely fantastic. -Note- Most of these things are of course not a must have but would make life alot easier!
Definitely, I would be interested in attempting to create some animations for a contest; eventhough my animations skills are currently very poor. Especially feel encouraged by the notion of having several varying contests to accommodate different fields. This provides an excellent opportunity for the community to contribute to the game physically, not just with comments or opinions.
