Much ego? I was stating first that you are right and this is expensive purchase. secondly I stated with my current cpu what OC I did with my current cooling system. Third I never said I'm going to OC the new I7-5820K CPU, I will do OC only after few years when I may need teh extra juice. I was not comparing between the two cpus. I personally don't like watercooling I prefer air cooling, and who said one must need the top notch max OC to a cpu? I can tell you that after I tested on my current system even my humble few years old 2500k WITHOUT the OC manages with no problem at all running whichever software\game I'm running on the rig. At any rate you are entitled to your opinions I'm entitled to mine, no need to be rude as you were.
In fact, there are MMORPGs based on UE3. The most known to the Western audience should be Tera, but there are others like Blade and Soul, which is not released on the West as of yet.
if this really is unreal engine 4... then they must be using the light version.....was hoping it was unity myself. Unreal i always asssociate with tacky steam games, it never really impressed me
i have a i7-740QM. and a ATI radeon HD 5870. so the unreal 4 engine provides me with the hope i can actually run this game well. =) recommended is just 1 click higher. so im fine! this is great
i have a i7 labtop with a ATI radeon hd 5870( runs BF4 perfectly!) also runs PS2 etc and WoW en Heroes of the storm! i use DDR3 and a RAM DDR 3 6GB (2X3) with a HDD of 1 Terabyte. ive pre-orderd and some of my friends at a university (doing IT) told me i should be able to run the game! even tho its on low. whats your take on it?
We can't know how good it will be. For one, UE4 is a new engine, so we don't know how good it is. And even though UE are usually well optimized, we can still have perfomance issues during massive battles.
Can't answer this question directly, but if you look at the sys reg of UE4: Running/Developing with the Engine Processor Quad-core Intel or AMD, 2.5 GHz or faster Memory 8 GB RAM Video Card NVIDIA GeForce 470 GTX or AMD Radeon 6870 HD series or higher Source: https://docs.unrealengine.com/latest/INT/GettingStarted/RecommendedSpecifications/ So, my guess you are good to go with an I5-K
http://www.unrealtournament.com/blog/ click on download: check of the game run on the pc. if the fps are 60 or more, also ec (if is really an UE 4 game) will run for sure, if the fps is around 30 or less probally the pc will have some problem.
Kinda, but UT is an unfinished game, so it's not as demanding like completed game on this engine will be.
