The warping is the most crippling issue the game faces. If it is not fixed, the game WILL be unrecoverable. People do not have much tolerance for it.
Then that is likely something on your end. Either your connection, or your CPU if you are running an AMD GPU (as the game dumps physx onto the CPU if you don't have an nvidia card).
I really hope that's true. It may be a trivial issue but it's a trivial issue to a major game breaking problem. If the game is being launched in just a handful of days then the concern is that the servers are already ordered and that they'll take the 10 minutes to set them up the moment they're received.
You misunderstand. The game isn't running off of physical servers that Behavior is buying and setting up on site. They are running the game off of virtual servers hosted on Amazon's cloud server farms. So they just need to ask amazon for more space, connect, deploy software, and boom, good to go.
well, my guess is they cant. lol. OP's video isnt THAT bad, i bet he's had way worse situations, just like me, but simply didnt record it.
Pretty much this. I'm in Quebec, about 1hour and a half from behavior's office. Though I don't know where there servers actually are . the teleportation and dying on spawn to enemies not displaying on my screen has gone worse since the last 3 patches. Also now If I unload a full shoota clip at point blank at a dire avenger's back while he's not looking at me. I die before I see him even react. Of course, it,s even likely he wasn't even there when I started to shoot at him. But all I saw was a dire avenger not covering his back and I'm still the dead one .
Good that makes the problem that much easier to solve but then what is the hold up? Is it a matter of gathering data so they don't buy more than is needed?
That would be correct. The longer we play in shitty conditions, the more time they have to hunt down what is causing the shitty conditions. Now is literally the best time to do this, before launch, so don't expect it to be resolved before launch. Once launch hits, I suspect the problem will go away, because they want a smooth launch day, so they'll either have the problem fixed or hust run more servers.
Yup its better to save money on server space, than have people stop playing the game and give bad reviews right before launch. Had a friend try the game yesterday since its still pre-launch price. After 1 hour he went to refund it because of how crappy it is. And before you say, he should have waited until launch, but its cheaper now plus you get RTC.
im curious, can someone give an educated guess what kinda amount of money we talking about? how much money is saved when roughly we are now with 670 concurrent players and in the months before 250-300. and it was lagging like a bitch back then too. it seems sucha 'close but no cigar'approach.
