Heh, it's all the Necrons want. They're actually just annoyed by the noise everyone else is making in all these wars and they just want everything to be quiet so they can sleep again.
So funny thing I just realised. Victus is actually a character I used to play in the Deathwatch RPG (minus being a Kill-Marine because in that you can't be an apothecary Kill Marine) and if we were using that stat system to determine characteristics then with Corvus Armour Victus is faster and more agile than a Warp Spider. If only we used such rules XD
Been busy on work + it's hard to come up with as epic responding posts as those of Santana - you've set the bar high, son of Dorn I'm thinking on how to intertwine three forces - Rackham's, Santana's and Victus's - so that they meet each other and retreat together, it's time for you to reinforce each other, but this transition must be smooth and logical so that you dont suddenly appear in front of each other
But that's what creates a true warhammer 40k atmosphere I love so much from BL novels - I dont hide the fact that this RP is rather a short novel written by all of us, that's why such epic posts are welcomed
I will admit I am a bit butthurt because as I read those posts I just notched off everything I planned to do for a little Termie action immediately got done in one fight. It's moments like that which make me realise if I've thought of it someone else is probably about to do it before me. Then again I still have the much less impressive sounding plan of making at least one Terminator near the armoury realising that Khorne Berzerker over there isn't one of them as the krak grenade that was sneakily stuck to their back goes off.
You'll have your chances, I've distributed the assailing forces for this exact purpose - everybody will have chances to epitomize their darkest warhammer 40k fantasies on how they might have killed a Terminator
I have realised at this point that Victus' way of doing things immediately lends itself to killing people in ways that sound much less impressive than everyone else if put in writing because normally there is no epic confrontation if he's doing things properly, the other guy just dies without even knowing he had a grenade or two stuck to him.
