I`d let a dramatic pause as to value the current moment with a certain degree of weight. Fully working STC. What you have described is not even a 'standard' STC that my beloved cyborgs hunt around on a daily basis...but a a device similar to nigh-legendary Omnicopaeia.And on a mere rumor of the said, billions of Skitarii (and Omnissiah knows what else) were dispatched. Now imagine the amount of force they would dispatched for a comprehensive STC. Again, Tuska guides us on the right path with his insightfulness. I made my character and accompanying (quite humble) force, predicting this would happen.GM has after all warned me he is not well-versed in the Mechanicum lore, so I decided to tone everything down to a incalculable degree and yet to give an air of lore-friendliness. Alright, let's then suggest that you're looking for a missing tech-priest? I mentioned that Vect's agents stole this STC from a forsaken planet - it could be some hidden lair of a tech-priest leading excavations, he found something and before he could elaborate what exactly it was his forces were overwhelmed by the Dark Eldar's raiding parties so the Mechanicus never knew exactly what he found but suspected something and, when several investigatory missions reported nothing, they decided to launch the last one under your command. Is that more plausible?
As previously stated, I am fine with previous pacing of it being a ' direct rumor' - I just wanted to clarify some things, that is all.
I just find my previous story strange for now- if commorraghans raided a planet, there would be no "rumours" spread from local population simply because all of them would either be slaughtered or taken back to Commorragh as slaves and none of commorraghans would spread rumours about STC as well simply because they dont know what it is, they captured some Mechanicus's stuff as a plunder and Vect decided to study it afterwards. If no one minds, I'd prefer to stick to this new story - it still means the imperials will eventually look for this item, it simply makes their motives different Want each piece of my RP's plot look realistic and lore-wise, preserving entourage

I`d let Commissar Rackhan continue to be the leader of the imperial faction.I don't want to jerk his character left or right whenever I am offline or not.Lets give at least a semblance of cohesion here, by having a proper structure here. If you guys are willing, my character will serve as a glorified scientific entourage, to you and our allies.Most GMs envision Techpriest characters to be like this anyway, so I may for once go with the thrope.
I'm sure things will pick up once we get on the ship. At this point, myself and Ruina are basically waiting for the orders from the higher ups. Once the boarding begins, things should start to get rolling proper.
