Cryptek is an elite person in necron's society, a scientist and an engineer both, preserver of intellectual heritage and foremost knowledge, without crypteks tomb worlds cant possibly operate and function at all

Note that if you pick up Chaos you can only join Alpha Legion under captain Tandreus' command - there is no way a space marine from some other Traitor Legion would like to close a warp-portal and prevent daemons from ushering in material universe

*Dark cloud of smokelike essence appears and slowly takes the shape of a hunched backed Cryptek*

    You called?

Hmm where to start... Let me start with my freind Daver, The psycomancer, he wil explain...
We got alot to do here if I am to educate several people in Necron sociaty and abillitys...

    Here we go:

Necron Psycology lesson one: The baseline
Necron primary thoughts are reclamation, the return to glory. Often not caring for what they will have to do to get it, for they are the rightful masters of the galaxy. Some has gotten side effects from the long sleep but will look into that later...

As the Rightful owners and claimers of the Galaxy they see the young racess as nothing more but vermin and often pesky ones as well. Now while some may have a level of kindess left in their mecanical being they often have been stripped away by the "War in Heaven". A war that will leave the Battles of the 41st millina in the dust... but a small conflict. A great war of biblical poportions indeed.

Yet the Necrons made it though. Meaning they had conqured the galaxy once. From the Old ones, a foe so great that these upstarts are but... nothing compared to the Old ones, meaning that they inferiour to the enemy they once defeated. And they are all sure they can do it agian...

And had only been forced into hibernation by the Silent king. That told them to rebuild.
    Segwaying into our next topic:

Necron psycology Lesson two: The personallity of the individual
Some will remain to rebuild, on their own planet, Simply staying Isolated on their dead worlds. Other dynastys will lunch crusades of reclamation in best necron fasihon.
Others will simply wait for their Nobles to re awaken meaning that the Necrons that are not under the command of the main tombs defensive grid. These giving a the Necrons their... first empressions amongst the mortals. Now that the Nobles has re-awakened the personallitys of the Necrontyr bloom once agian.

Lords and Overlords are both nobles and great warriors. either Honourble, cold and conculating or dirty tactics like we all love... But not beyond Deceptive manipulating and all the stuff.

Crypteks being dedicated to their , Artists, musicians or sicentists. that knows their specialit in some part of Technomancy but mostly also allso have seen the grim sides of the war and have grown with a hint of grim determination.

Now the most important part of the Necron mentallity is their unwavering will. To keep on going. Not being stopped by simple fears. For they have nothing to fear. Pain is a distant memory. And they have all the time in the universe. You are the apex of Evolution. The heigth of technology but no need to strech your abillities for all necrons knows that despite all this Carelessness is the foundation failure is build on. So Hubris is not uncommon but at least when you are a Necron, that has the most impressive thing the galaxy ever have seen and will see. Now some lords and crypteks comming from poor dynastys that cannot afort to be as gloriously dressed or outfitted as some and they are not beyond jealousy amongst their own kind... While they look upon the lesser races with an unimpressed gaze. Each necron has their own taste. Often favoring their own Dynastys colour.

Now lets talk about he less impressive part... of necron sociaty...

Necron psycology Lesson three: The scars of the Long sleep.

While some Necrons made it out of the long sleep unscaled some did not. mental entropi has erroded into our minds and often Enhancing certain traits and totally erased others..

madness has many forms and shapes and some while not being apperent they might still fuction as regular Necrons.

    Being mecanical and all that.

Some other effects being that of the destroyer madness: A thing born in the Biotransferance itself where the meaninglessness of exsistance simply got to the Necrontyr and they instead gave up on their personallity and instead embraced the machine part of them to become enhanced in their mecanical way.

And the Flayer Virus witch simply is... a Ctan infesting necrons into mindless hunger...

No cure is to be found. yet...

I think we are missing something...

    what would that be... Mylord?

The promise of constant of advice!

I am not sure that the mortal even have had the Determination to read all this though...

    We can only hope.
Necrons Undying spirits is the key. If they ever had given up their hopes and dreams they would have perished in the long sleep. No madness could stop them, No mortal. They destroyed their gods. They bound the galaxy in schakles and wrote the laws of nature.

The C'tan was not weak as you call them. we were simply stronger than them. And even devided few forces in the galaxy can stand agianst a necron Detatchment.

Necrons does not fear fate for they embody the Ineviteble that is to come and what cannot be stopped.
By will or madness they will reclaim all
Yes. Welcome to the Winning team.

    ASK AWAY!

Well.. Crypteks are not excatly Exclusive mecanics... they are also advicers and warriors. While alot less combat suited than the likes of a Lord.

But back in the (5th edition) they were equal to psykers in the things they could do.

This is the level of epicness we will definitely need! But dont play games with the Storm of Silence, necron - if She can beat several Terminators alone, then you will be no match to Her skills (you do realize that amongst all characters necrons will have the most tense relations with Jain Zar? And you will be the closest candidates for a potential betrayal, be ready for it :D)

  8. Name: Akhenhotep

    Primary weapon: Staff of Light

Personality: Highly ambitious and territorial Akhenhotep has used his early awakening to secure his independance from those who would control him and plans to control them instead.

History: Rising to his position during the final phase of the war between the necrontyr and the Old Ones, as both a recently-elevated noble and belonging to a minor dynasty, Akhenhotep was one of the last of his social class to be transformed.

Serving ably, although without distinction, during the rest of the war and the uprising that followed Akhenhotep gathered his legions to the rebuilt world he ruled, entering the Great Sleep as commanded.

The Great Sleep was disturbed during the 40th Millenium, Akhenhotep and his army emerging to destroy the colonists who'd dared step foot on his planet. Since then, upon discovering that the rest of the dynasty still slept, he has severed any links with them and fortified his location, preparing to go forth and slaughter.

Retinue: 1 Cryptek (Plasmancer): Meritakhen (Eldritch Lance)
2 Lychguard: Rameni & Nefreti (Hyperphase Sword & Dispersion Shield)

    Name: Akteur

    Primary weapon: Stalker bolter

    Secondary Weapon: Power sword

Personality: Akteur takes pride in his role as an agent of death, although he is disgusted by the current state of the galaxy.

History: Elevated into the ranks of the Alpha Legion during thr Great Crusade, only shortly before the Nurthene Disaster, Akteur was as loyal, if not more, to his Primarch as he was to the Emperor. Accepting Alpharius Omegon's decision to support Horus during the Great Heresy Akteur was able to largely stay away from the other Traitor Legions and their influence, instead being sent around the galaxy to destabilize situations according to his Primarch's plans. Whilst his last confirmed sighting was during the Battle of Terra Akteur still travels the galaxy, eliminating targets set by what remains of the Legion's command staff.

I'll only use one of them, although which will depend on a lot of factors, but I am putting them both up anyway.

How typical of eldar to expect treachery...
    upload_2016-10-30_1-28-18.png
thief thinks every man steals... Traitor thinks all people around him will betray him...

I do not trust the Eldar... but If I make a deal Ill keep it. I have a concept of honouring my Deals. Not honouring the trickery of dealbreakers...

This is why The eldar are inferiour.
