My plan is that Alpha Legion captures loyalist players and "persuade" them to cooperate in a very specific way.....I cant think that loyalists would possibly agree to parley with the most treacherous Legion even among chaos space marines so use of force seems most reasonable to me
Well unless the Imperials somehow already knew something about what was going on and the Alpha Legion came out and offered some kind of assistance due to it being mutually beneficial (such a meeting would, of course, be more than a little shady) or they could have told the Imperium anonymously so that loyalists would turn up and perhaps end up inadvertently getting their objectives done for them. The Alpha Legion are masters of deception and such so that would make sense for them to rope the Imperials into this with the intention of potentially making their own job easy.
Nice idea, btw, gonna consider it once all characters are submitted (I'm waiting for two more players who are finishing their characters)
N.B. I've noted, based on several big current RPs, that GMs (as a rule) tend to write larger posts than ordinary players do - I dont know whether this is intended or players simply choose themselves how large their posts will be but I've decided to point something out: If you want to write like 15 sentences describing your character's behavior then you're free to do it! Although this is not mandatory, of course, and you can still write as much as you see fit for a particular situation/conversation/battle etc., I can only encourage big posts from your side for two reasons: 1. Immersion: consider it like an eldar's war-mask - when you put it on (playing for your character), you become him or her and completely lose your personality for that time - this is both beneficial and interesting for you and me because for many players RPs exist to improve their writing skills where they can express themselves, while at the same time it makes the whole RP more entourage-close to the wh40k lore 2. This is much easier and interesting to me to develop RP's plot and narrative when I see vivid characters with their own personalities, how they percieve themselves and other characters - even when I write an answer to a particular character, I still consider the other characters even if my heroe doesnt interact with them right now - everything, every detail is important when creating necessary entourage. It also eases the RP's progress, giving me necessary hints on what, as a GM, I should do next after some event occurred - say, when I read something like "X did that, thought that and looked at Y", it's quite hard for me to place this character into the whole picture of the RP's narrative and imagine what, along with other players, he might do next and how his behavior would impact the progress in general Although, as I had mentioned in the first paragraph, you're not obliged to write large posts, some interactions definitely require simple and short answers and reactions from your heroes
That is like the basic rule of RP. GM writes whole book series of what the players are seeing and they respond with 'I pick up a flower.' Or in some cases vice versa. Player writes 30 pages long essay how his character approaches the doorway, prepared for anything and GM (totally not me) responds with 'Door Opens.'
Hah , I know that wouldnt happen - most of you wont write so much simply because it's time-consuming, may be I've exaggerated a bit about 15 sentences. Besides, I indeed describe what each of you see and what obstacles you face, but HOW each of your characters percieves it and reacts - that's up to you. Of course I can always pick up all of you or any one in particular and do with him/her what I wish and sometimes I'll do it, but mainly you will respond - I indeed enjoy reading not only what I'm writing but what people write in return and how our posts intertwine
