Bunch of Astartes attached to an Inquisitor as a retinue? How many of them? I hope you dont bring an entire chapter , we are not gathering an army

Oh not the ENTIRE chapter, probably a total of about 3-4 squads of 10 marines and maybe the odd specialist such as an apothecary or techmarine. You know because astartes have this thing about being prepared for everything

This is too many, several personal bodyguards (up to 4) should be enough, I'm currently reviewing all characters' retinues and all of them have just several individuals attached to their characters (not counting ships' crews which are background NPCs), so your retinue is too big.

According to my plot, imperials will be taken by force aboard the Alpha Legion's battle barge and their ship will be temporarily captured as well - this will be a quick operation, not an entire war of attrition with 4 squads of space marines

When a commissar rolls around solo and space marines need body guards, he has to push around a wheel barrow to carry his balls of steel!

A certain commissar may be getting a power fist to the face (jk jk)
