United in Blood (OOC/Interest Thread)

  1. No one is planning to have a shard as starting equipment. The GM seems to have us find one at some point during the RP.

    Well.

They have material form but I belive that that image is corupted by the fears of Millions of years.

Hence why the C'tan look very human.
    Ultra marines invading your tomb...

necrons prefer not to use them.
Tachyon Arows are expensive. Don't waste them.

You try figting off an ork waaarg while sleepy as fuk... Ill tell you... It is not a proper fight.

There was once a Big mek that traded necrons peace for a few Doomsday arks...

The planet they was on was never seen agian.
    Lazy lords exsists...

And cutting the head of a force always helps.
Ill qoute a freind of mine:
"as long as there will be 2 people left in the Galaxy, someone is gonna want someone dead"

A shard is a very Unreliable weapon... it is on the same level of a highly soficticated creature with Endless power trying to be controlled by small puppets...
Like an Ork warboss being controlled by Grecthin... and it will rather not do its masters bidding.
Shards of Llandu'gor the Flyer that made the curse is gone...
    so no shards to torture...

And also... theory goes that Llandu'gor the Flayer was shattered too but his shards became the flayer virus that spreads though the Necron empire.

But that is just my theory...

Robots in disguise. We are all necrons on the inside.
  3. Unsure if Damnos reference, Uriel Ventris reference, or both >.>

Speaking of, wouldn't Nightbringer have a nice description of a dormant C'Tan shard?
  4. Nightbringer was written before the C'tan became pokemon. I don't recall a proper description of it but I could be wrong.
  5. True, but it would be a nice starting point as a reference. I also believe it has been retconned with newer editions, though I could be wrong.
  6. Wata Wata Arkhona Vanguard

Just for plot purposes I asked it. I didn't mean that necrons should have it to stomp other players.

@ZceeNook , will it be acceptable to assume that SOME shards of Llandu'gor the Flyer could have been preserved by an ancient enough phaeron? I want every part of this RP to be both lore-wise, realistic and when we mention something that is not directly described in the lore, than at least we make our "fanon" entourage-close to warhammer 40k lore.

Also to those who plan to use C'tan shards as weapons - I'll disappoint you, no one will have god-like weapons in this RP :D. In fact, any attempt of each faction to use any artefacts for their own favour before we get into the Eye of Terror will have some "backfires", I'll make several examples of it :D

  8. Just checked my copy of Nightbringer.

Based on that a shard would appear as a large sarcophagus. When released the C'tan resemble the pictures seen in the necron codex: http://wh40klib.ru/codex/Actually_codex_and_rule/Necrons_7-th_ed_Eng_Digital.pdf

Age has nothing to do with it.

It says that Llandu'gor was destroyed.

    Let me find the part:
Maynarkh Dynasty destroyed it so well nothing was left...

    What can I say...

    Forgworld has this to say:
Ill say so..Shards have escaped though the great sleep. Also.. Nightbringer is still canon to me.

That the shard of a god was mistaken for a god is not my problem.

The Ctan is excatly the same as before. The Shards of the deciver and the frail minds of the humans just thought them gods... And they are to be considered as such for the TT does not do them justice they are still planet devastating weapons that could if they would and were allowed to Eat planets populations.¨

    They are not pokemon... Okay

If you caught the TIME; SPACE AND ANTI MATTER... and Combined them with their creator THE MAJESTIC HORSE OF DOOOM...

Then you have a C'tan shard..

Ah, you gave me a very nice idea, btw, @ZceeNook . Can we actually CAPTURE one of deceased necrons and contain him in some sort of a stasis field as a security measure until we arrive on a lost tomb world and then, using Dark Eldar's artefact, try to torture the virus itself? If it's Llahdu'gor's "residual", on some basic level of the matter it might have a key for cure - do you like this idea?

N.B. Of course necrons wont get such a cure for it would be a direct contradiction to the lore, but their presumption that it may actually exist, magnified by their desperation, would drive them forward to find it.
