You really expected to command khornates having no proper rank? . They may be blood-crazed killers but discipline of their warbands is strict and principles of subordination are followed. They are Astartes, after all, scions of the World Eaters, one of the fiercest Legions, dwarfing even Space Wolves (to my mind) with their battle effectiveness
The only way I can think of this working is maybe trying to talk the Khornates into attacking the other forces. Perhaps the prospect of being the warband's new and only leader will turn him into useful, unknowing pawn in Victus' plan? After all Khorne cares not from where the blood flows.
You can still try to persuade the sergeant to listen to you, I just make it realistic so that a simple berserker doesnt suddenly encourage the entire warband to follow his cause and all sergeants so easily agree with him
Don't forget though that as World Eaters most of them would have given in to the Butcher's Nails and gone on the rampage. I imagine their command structure would have broken down by now.
If I may offer some insight into the World Eaters. The Butcher's Nails would be singing in some of the beings totally. But even the blood crazed can be directed to an extent by those in command. Speaking of which, you don't become a leader without some modicum of control in the world eaters. A sergeant can't afford to go blood crazy so.easily so you are most likely dealing with one of the more cunning folks. You need to remember that this guy and his terminator champions need to be smart enough to amass this power and keep it. All these sergeants are aspiring champions in their own right, and will have centuries of warfare and battle to call upon for experience. You can try to trick them, but to assume they are all brain dead idiots would be folly
I second that. Having a force of 300 marines and 8 suits of terminator armour is a lot. Especially for chaos marines. For scale: Sabios currently has 12 marines (as humans don´t count) under his command and Tandreus boarded the ship with 20 or 40 (cannot remember that right now), so he probably has less than 100 at his current command. Both are renowned captains of the Alpha Legion and have a lot more infrastructure (hidden bases) and are on a mission, where they need every man they can get. Edit: The autosenses could be damaged as maintenance is really difficult, if you are without supplies for multiple hundred years. Could someone verify that powerarmour without generator prevents nearly all movements. I had the opinion, that it slows the wearer down a lot, but not renders the user completely static.
To be honest, the fact there is so many suits of terminator armour suggests that this warband is fairly influential, or atleast mighty. One suit of terminator armour can be considered rare among the traitors. That this warlord has managed to gain more, and outfit his sergeants with them, means they are a force to be reckoned with.
