I'm personally a big fan of borderlands and generally games with unique collectables. Slightly worried about balance but its very cool to see differences in weapon mechanics from the RNG boxes. I hope that in the future there's more added but I can see potential problems, still love the idea behind it and makes the RNG boxes much more enjoyable. Heres a video of Burning Light - the Anti-Infantry Lazcannon for LSM. Its a very good counter to braced players, and plasma cannon spammers. If anyone has any videos of other stuff thats so different from the normal weapon variant I'd like to see.
It has a very quick lock-on time compared to the normal one. I end up fighting against another lazcannon user at the start of the video and every time even when he was aiming at me before I him, I always landed well before him. It doesn't one shot, but it stuns and puts a fire dot that kills. Can be saved by a sorcerer which happened @ one point. It also is only for Anti-Infantry, but it counters braced players. (does next to no damage to vehicles)
Looks like a faster charge by half as much and a burn dot (?) In exchange for loss of one hit kill maybe?
Nah it's fine with me if it doesn't one shot like a normal Lascannon which apparently it doesn't. Good job on this one Devs.
It would be cool if it applied heat stacks to vehicles like a long range melta but much slower and had a overral higher vehicle TTK than the regular Lascannon too.
I dont know if CSM has a version like this, but if they did a LSM healer wouldn't be able to make it in time to save the player. But its well balanced if LSM has it because a CSM or Eldar Player can use their mobile healing to save the player recently hit by it. Orks with more HP may be able to take a full hit and heal with a medkit quickly - not sure how long the dot lasts or how much damage it does tho.
