He said it might become not that it is. But it's a legitimate concern for some of the people voting against. Added to that if this comes to be more exclusives are likely later on, perhaps with an added race. You shouldn't grab pay 2 win from his last sentence and ignore everything else he wrote before it. Why do you insist on : 1. features that do not impact the success of the game(none would really stop buying the game if these aren't in) 2. need balancing (may or may not be problematic) 3. divide the community(this thread and being proof of that) It's not the best of game practices and it's likely we will get more of this later on.
I am not against having maybe weapons or tanks that makes mostly a cosmetic difference with maybe a different main weapon or unique attachment. However what i was meaning i don't think should be included is things like an attack bike. That is a rather large difference in my opinion as it has a ton of large differences to normal bikes. For example an attack bike has two passengers instead of one it also holds heavier weapons and still has the same or only slightly less mobility then a normal bike. So in conclusion I think that the addition of weapons or vehicles with small differences in-between them and the normal version of the vehicle is a great idea. However i fear adding vehicles which have major differences to the normal vehicles players who just purchased the basic game have will dis-balance or give unfair advantages to the founders.
I'm pretty sure that's the point. I took the liberty of underlining the parts of your post that fall in line with the planned design for Founders' stuff. From what I understand, they will be minor performance tweaks that make Founders' gear stronger in one respect, weaker in another, and visually distinct; Founders' gear is not designed in such a way that it is a straight-up better choice than the standard.
Before I go any farther I'd like to say that I will most likely buy a founders pack. Why? Not only for the goodies but I also want this game to be really successful. But right now it looks like the founders pack is going to make the game lean towards pay to win. Something that I was deathly afraid of. Must GW squeeze everything dry that it touches? I had high hopes for this game and still do but this is starting to make me doubt it a bit.
I just read about this on a web, and I had to came by. I think it is DISGUSTING that you are selling Unique Gameplay or Unique Classes (no matter how hard they are to use) as a limited, founder thing. It is horrible and won't do anything but alienate your fan base. Becuase of course, those founders would love it, but those that are not and start playing after the game start will see that and flee from this game like rats from a shinking ships. I've been following this since it was announced and I'm pretty sure that I will NOT buy a founder pack, and precisely becuase of this, because now I have a reason to doubt on this game. This only needed to be a freaking sandbox third-person shooter with politics and what not. It did not need limited unique classes, limited unique weapons, special suits, special anything. Nothing. Even if it's balanced, it was not necessary. Skins? Fuck yeah. Gameplay stuff? No. Hell no. I hope this doesn't mean the beginning of the end, but it smell like it. And no matter what happens with the founders pack, just the mere question of adding this is OUTRAGEOUS. Shame on you. If you want to get money to found this, try something else. There is plenty of fucking ways of doing this, you are just lazy by trying this.
