That was before Early Access was released. After that the only update announcements on Facebook and Twitter came for the Early Access servers, the only announcement before this recent one for the Founder servers was the short testing for the upcoming maps.
"Arrivederci I'm going to leave before this battle begins..." Grats if you got it, then there is the irony of the apparently large population of Captains in the Founders, not that it matters as much any more. Remember when we used to be angry about not having keys, during the days of raging Tornadium, is he still here, thought I read he was gone, let's see @ torn....he's still here it seems, then there was...what, Vorn (?) it was an enraged Ultramarine, sorry if it wasn't you Vorn and if was, just remembering the times is all. Then people were focusing their ire on Zaeryn at well since he was essentially saying redesign the game, not saying it's impossible, good or bad, but after finally being able to play, would've been sad for them to randomly close down again. Then there was....well many others, myself as well probably as I'm an obnoxious asshole, who we all despised for our constant opinion on all matters, important and trivial. Many of the louder, per se, members didn't like Asheru either, but he and the other mods had to do the Inquisitorial work which means hitting the Exterminatus button and condemning some folks. Ah yes, my vacation from the forums has done me wonders XD Sorry @torN ,seems it autlocked onto your name.
Well I mean. The FS is empty 95% of the time. I don't know about now, but it'll probably still not have many people on. They always just quickly check out the patch and then change back to the standard servers.
the fortess map was also with a patch and founder tested it before early access. all the time there is a map to test there is also additional change is not only a map. it's alwais like that, when they need founders they announce it to all. the founder server don't always have more stuff in.
@Zhull: "if you really mean what you just typed here, you basically say this: I expect immediate and accurate information about the state of an upgrade/change to a computergame and about any delays in its implementation! except without semi fancy words to make it look like you know what you are talking about." That's really not what I said. I said that if something is communicated to be ready by, or happen at, a certain date/week (regardless of what it is really), then proactive communication on said missed deadline is really not too much to expect. Of course this is relevant regardless of the state of the game/product - it relates to how deadlines and dates are communicated, not the product itself. My suggestion to the devs would then rather be not to communicate a date/week at all, but rather just let us know that a major patch (or whatever) is in the working. Overpromising and underdelivering obviously didn't refer to the patch or its contents in itself, but overpromising and underdelivering on an announced date. I consider this unprofessional. That doesn't mean my whole world is turned upside down - despite what you seem to think, I do have a life outside waiting for a patch. There's a lot of people out there who are having a hard time even playing the game because of bugs, lag, poorly optimized engine or whatever, so obviously expectations are higher for some than others. I don't understand why it seems so important for you to decide for others what is reasonable. Or what is adult behavior. And I obviously don't know what I'm talking about ( = invalid argumentation) because I use fancy words... Anyway, I read something about not letting certain people drag you down to their level, so I'll end here
up to this point I agree with you, it's not too much to ask and it would be a better approach, no argument there. unprofessional is a bit harsh and unrealistic, a professional should know that shit happens when working on projects, im puzzled each time a specific date is anounced on twitch or in a forumpost; why make life harder for yourself? in my limited experience this 'its unprofessional and you missed a deadline, period! I dont care what the excuses are!" tends to be a typical american business mindset, which is more often than not a terrible mindset. sure it seems really pro to demand deadlines must be met no matter what, but it has little to do with real life and the unforeseen circumstances that happen, and it isnt very realistic. it reminds me of this american family who tried to sneakily get their money back after being unable to do a promised tour in the old city of jerusalem which was on lockdown after a bombing attack. "breach of contract! breach of contraact!" I told em to go sue Hamas instead. hehe. I'm one of those people, its at least half the time unplayable for me since last patch. And I knew that was to be expected since its early access, I just relay the info and wait for the next patch to come along and see how the game performs then. So I'm actually one of the people who would have every reason to eagerly await a new patch. Now lets translate from passive agressive mode: "I don't understand why it seems so important for you to decide for others what is reasonable." you're not my dad! dont tell me what to do! "Or what is adult behavior" I'm all grown up and def not a kid! It is important to me because besides getting sick and tired of entitled attitudes and constant whining, it also creates toxicity and its hurtful in the long run for the devs-community interaction. Imagine you at your job and imagine your customers breathing down your neck, looking over your shoulder, commenting on every step in the process along the way, for you to come up with the desired endproduct. You'd be totally at ease? Would it do wonders for your motivation to interact with your customers? misrepresentation of what I actually said. you tried to hint at a position of authority which I then commented on. I am not in a position to judge whether or not you do or dont know what you're talking about, as you only vaguely hinted by mentioning your personal and proffesional experience. in my personal and professionalexperience, people who mention those tend to be full of shit. *inception!* its the same as lol: just putting a smiley behind a sentence doesnt negate the bitchy remark. example: yo momma so poor she hangs the toiletpaper out to dry!
Really, then does this quote ring a bell as not everyone wants you to speak for them on this forum as in the term "We" Again you comment about things in which you have already done in this thread, here is the reminder!
