Also wrong on all acounts. putting lol behind a remark doesnt make you seem funny, it makes you seem insincere. lol. brownnosing? plz explain. this is pretty much exactly my point. but then you continue and say this: yeah, thats totally not overreacting and jumping to some pretty drastic conclusions.
Aaaaaaand derailed. Zhull, if you want your opinion to come across as relevant, I suggest you provide a bit more meat on the bone than "wrong on all accounts". I'm happy to have a constructive discussion. Personal and professional experience tells me proactive communication is both effective and to be honest is something that should be expected in this case. Explaining the delay in a forum post would take I guess less than five minutes - not too much to ask for.
fine, ill elaborate, but you probably wont like it. let's go! This is a somewhat fair point, were it not that info whether or not a patch is going to be delayed is well..irrelevant. I mean compared to for example an entire class that gets axed or a vehicle or weapon that will dissapear, etc. grand scheme of things and all that. But nonetheless, its fair enough to bring it up. not at all. the patch may or not be promised, with this one Im not sure, but a patch is exactly that: patching stuff to improve the overall game experience, you can imagine that devs dont wanna rush this and just get things right. so it is underdelivering to do that? thats just silly. Now here's the part where you are just plain wrong. It isnt. YOU are the best tool for your own expectation management. again, we are talking about a patch for a build, not the game in itself, some perspective plz. here you misrepresent whats being said in order to make it seem like you make a point. on repeat: the patch is about improving the state of the game, some take lonfger, some are shorter. deadlines for patches now? come on man. if you really mean what you just typed here, you basically say this: I expect immediate and accurate information about the state of an upgrade/change to a computergame and about any delays in its implementation! except without semi fancy words to make it look like you know what you are talking about. I really need to explain this one aswell?
The first rule of patchs, is : 1- Do not talk about patchs. 2- Do not expect patchs. 3- The dates are lost illusions. 4- See Rule 1.
the geek inside me says: come on! come onnnnn! launch the game already! the sadist says: I hope it takes an additional 6 months for launch just for the laughs to be had on here.
Translation, I am the bridge troll guarding this thread, the devs can do no wrong, WRONG ON ALL ACCOUNTS. Refrain btw is a kind means of kindly saying stfu. Having an estimate for something then going quiet on the result of not having delivered is the textbook definition of irresponsible, I want the game to be great as much as the next guy but for whatever is going on under the hood that we aren't told about is taking a pretty long time. As it currently is with the games development, sure isn't shining through at the current pace for things to seemingly be, all better, for launch. 'Jumping to conclusions' at this rate isn't jumping to conclusions other than airing what is naturally our reaction to what input we've been given combined with our respective experience in seeing projects like this grow. To say we ourselves are inexperienced to judge a scenario like whats going on here is far more brash and... uncharitable as the attitude as telling us we should have no expectations fulfilled.
yes, saying silly stuff like: maybe be an adult and not whine about "promised"patches and keep the sense of entitlement in check is obviously trolling. like mentally impaired is for retarded? gotcha. yeah! a patch for a game! not the game itself, a patch for the game that is in early access! what a bunch of amateurs! refunds now! lemme guess, another industry expert?
Clearly more enlightened than someone soo... cringy and uses terminal language like "sense of entitlement in check" I would say. I believe tumblr might be a safer space for you perhaps?
