I thought there wasn't suposed to be A- Derp I already forgot about the Tyranids. How long has it been since they showed us something with those? I actually asked when we would be seeing them in the FS but they skipped my question ;_;
See here is the thing people aren't understanding. I get that when a player base gets impatient it can be unsettling and bothersome at times of course. However people overlook the passion and care the player base has for that game, which is a very good thing. Think about it, people are very excited and are anticipating this patch, which is always a positive aspect in any games life span. Now if no one cared, or was excited, I would say you have a real problem on your hands. We love WH40k, we love EC and we want as much of it as possible. So now when that excitement gets pulled away from them, with no word of why, or when, some people don't know how to handle that kind of situation and emotions so they express it with negative reviews. I absolutely disagree with that sort of reaction but however I believe A LOT of it would be prevented with a very simple post saying it's delayed and why. With how very open and transparent they are with this development, it confuses me as to why this ONE thing gets neglected.
Yeah, I agree with the above poster. I appreciate you explaining the delay on the forums, but you guys really need to communicate patch delays better; it results in a lot of confusion if you announce a patch for X date and then no one follows up on it when nothing happens! There are probably a whole bunch of people who haven't checked this thread and have no idea what happened to the patch.
if you get excited over a patchdelay it means you got not enough things going on in your life. coming from me, that actually says something..lol.
Echoing what a lot of people here are saying: the issue is not missing a date, it's not communicating on it. If you know on Thursday evening, or even Friday lunch, that you won't be releasing that patch that you announced would be released that week - just give a heads up. It honestly can't be that difficult? The only thing you do when you miss an announced patch date is over-promise and under-deliver. Proactive communication is the best tool in the expectation management toolbox. Expecting proactive communication on an announced and missed deadline is not "throwing shit fits", acting like spoiled kids, or not having enough/better things to do in life. This is irrespective of whether the game is in alpha, beta or full release version.
Just can it already dude, lol. Your points have veered off from rational to straight up brown nosing and you're starting to embarrass yourself, geez, just, refrain. People don't like to hear that things get delayed because the company is moving everyone around in a building, makes things seem unviable and unstable at the work place. And yeah, seeing as how people are already on edge not putting out soo much as a sentence reply about a missed deadline sounds more like someone not doing their job.
We must have patience folks. We will see a patch when it's ready. The Eldar on the other hand... *raises fist in anger* I want them now devs! j/k sort of...
