Concepts for fixing the Plasmagun and giving this weapon viability versus vehicles, Terminators and Dreadnaughts. -Consider giving all Plasma weapons a burning DOT effect if you're hit with 3 more more semi automatic shots in a 5 second time span. -DOT would burn for 5 seconds and could be reapplied by a single follow up shot(while the burning DOT is in effect) and would continue the burning effect indefinitely if follow up shots are delivered during that 5 second time frame. This mechanic would finally make plasma weapons infinitely more viable versus vehicles, Terminators and Dreadnaughts while keeping them from becoming totally OP vs infantry because of requiring 3 consecutive plasma shots in 5 seconds to start the burn. -Get rid of full auto firing mode all together for the Plasmagun. "Full auto" is the Bolter's niche. The PG needs a niche. This can be accomplished by making the Plasmagun a hard hitting, "rapid fire", semi auto weapon. The PG "rapid fires" just fine by pulling the trigger rapidly in semi auto mode, just like a DMR from BF4 or other shooters. FYI the PG firing semi automatic already fires faster than the Stalker bolter = Plasmagun is a "rapid fire" weapon using semi automatic mode of fire. -"Gets Hot!". If the weapon(plasmagun or plasma pistol) overheats twice in 60 seconds without manual venting the weapon should "explode" and do full AOE damage plus the stun effect to the user just like a Plasmagun overcharge shot. This forces the player to pay attention and manually use the "vent heat" mechanic as needed. -reduce the price of the Plasmagun to from 300 LP to 250 LP and implement the weapon mods please. A fully modified MC PG is going to cost 340 LP plus 20 plus 30 plus 20-50 more. So we're looking at 400'ish LP, almost half of our freaking loadout, for a modified MC plasmagun? That's nuts guys. Reduce PG price appropriately.
