Keep in mind you have to sit there for about 8 seconds to do that damage. Double Meltabombs is safer.
Tiny dev team cant even produce patch notes and you expect them to release models? Hate to say it but this is what we are getting now, The game as it is will pretty much be how it is until the servers are eventually empty. The first round of free keys has left the population at pretty much the same level, it peaked then dropped. They are not going to waste money on developing new models when there is a limited life span for the game to make money. They couldn't even find the time or effort to change the steam advert from persistent world, 1000's of unique weapons and wargear.
Hm... true story. But i can imagine a longer Meltaburst must be quite good to use against infantry? you can keep up the beam for double the duration, and even less then a full burst was allready enough to kill. That might be the trick about this one, it's a little bit weaker (or unsafer?) then the melta 2xbomb combo, but better vs infantry?
Eldar: Fuegan's Resolve: Seems to be rather pricey for what you get, because while being able to fire for twice as long is nice it will still only slightly lower the TTK against Vehicles, and I suspect a Melta Bomb + Fusion Gun will be better (it is 80 LP cheaper). It might do well against infantry though. It lacks extra ammo or something to make it worth the cost (it is supposed to substitute a Melta Bomb afaik). Triparte RL: Seems ok, especially if it keeps the 110 Damage per missile. Looks like it will be more useful than a Regular Reaper Launcher, but I will reserve judgement till I try the non-bugged version (it currently fires 6 instead of 3 missiles). LSM: Darth Maul (new Unique Mace): Seems to be a good choice for Ambushing enemies, as the extra damage to Strong Attacks is really powerful with Backstabs. It seems like it will be a bit to powerful against Eldar, as a Strong Attack is essentially a "Dodge or Die" if they hit the back or even the front for some setups. War Narthecium: Seems like a fine weapon, but I am quite certain the regular Narthecium is better in most cases (as poison = nice). CSM: Stunlock Maul (someone called it that): Haven't had time to test it yet sufficiently to say much. Heartpiecer (Unique Bolter): Seems like a nice weapon to have, but I reckon it will kill more allies than enemies with the "hit everyone in a line". Orkz: 'Umie Fryer: Seems kinda useless with the Lock-on and 1.5 seconds charge-up. This weapon will only be better than a Regular Zzap Deffgun in hyper specific situations, and even then it will probably be better to Kill one enemy than scare two... I think you should either decrease the charge-up or remove the lock-on (would case a LOT of salt), but as the weapons is now I don't think it will be ever used. You could compare it to the Burning Light Lascannon (LSM), which deals 471 damage, have a 1 second charge-up but doesn't penetrate the target. Burny Syringe: Seems OK, but I am not certain it is that much better than a Syringe with 50 Posion (Poison Modded Syrgine = 50 LP). If you have the mastery, the Fuegan's Resolve, a forced Pistol and a Melta Bomb will cost 830 LP, which doesn't leave much for survivability. So I think it will be a very "niche" weapon, because it doesn't seem super useful outside of hunting unguarded vehicles or going Anti-Infantry (might be rather good at this). I am certain it will be a nice weapon, but I am not certain it is worth the price. Because the range isn't long enough for it to be a Fire Pike ^^ You need two bursts to the ass of a Predator to take it out.
My current build should be a master craft, fusion pistol, bomb bundle and isha tear and maybe master crafted knife, I don't think I've ever had a durability item bar the tear so that downside is more than minor honestly It just sounds like a good weapon, especially since the melta bundle becomes a waste of 400lp when a tank semi moves, I guess it just makes the class more versatile of a tank killer
But you no longer run out of Burst till cooldown... Sure, DPS would stay the same, but afaik the current tactic is to roll around and seek cover until the Melta overheats to gun the Meltawielder down, that won't be as easy if you have twice the burst duration Still, just theorizing here, i got no idea if it will be good or not, keep in mind
