The fact that these eldar elite items are the only ones that are worth taking on a normal class says everything you need to know about them. My initial questions stands.

So what to do with the apothecary chain sword now? Taking it is a death sentence. This applies to all melee supports except the painboy.

What happens to Wolf Priests? I hate Space Wolves with a passion but this seems bad, maybe the devs will forget to nerf them like how they forget to add content for them.

Holy crap I forgot about wolf priests. I dont usually support space puppies but they dont even have an alternative option! [if they are also hit with armor nerf]

I still think the worst part about the UAT changes to Eldar is that the LSM will be absolutely unbearable to listen to in the post match chat, and I reckon they will cry "ELDAR OP" if we dare to win anyway...

Also, the fact that the Eldar PuGs will be horrendously bad doesn't please me either.
If you can't even make a PuG attack/defend the points with time on, then I dread to think about how forcing the Eldar to "flank all the time" and "use hit-and-run" (work brilliantly for the Falcon btw) tactics will work out.

Wolf Priest wont have it much worse than Sorcerers and Warlocks, as even though they don't have a "true" ranged heal (closest think is the Healy Grenade with the short CD) they at least won't have their melee weapon nerfed.

Don't forget: the APOs dmg mitigation buff pretty much directly counteracts the reduction in armor. The devs also may be considering further tweaks to said buffs as well. This is exactly why support classes have bit hit so. They get buffs that make them too powerful if left at the same level as their more combat focused counterparts.

Not sure what they have planned for the Sorc or Painboy though. The Painboy still has that extra Orc HP however and will have a higher poison application for their melee weapon. Warlocks will likely be left pretty close to as is, hence having 50 more armor than any other support class and being the only Eldar class with the same EHP as it's counterparts from CSM, LSM.

What the hell are you talking about here?

    These are VET ONLY items.
You CAN NOT use them on normal classes.

Apo is support class, with the option to go full ranged.

When you're going melee apo, you do NOT do it to rush in melee frontally with foam on your helm grill, you do it to keep heavies safe from JPA assaults.

And that's the direction they went with all supports without exception.
Buffer/debuffer from behind the lines first and foremost, fighter only if mandatory.
25 armor more, but 50(75) hp less.

Really? that sucks, back to advanced armour it is then
    RIP variety
  9. Arnedor Ardean Steam Early Access

You sure about that? That last time I checked Warlocks had 150 hp and 75 armor base: 225. Sorc and Apo have 200 hp and 25 armor base. 225 again. Perhaps their armor upgrades will push them ahead of the warlock, but I expect that would only really be the case with Nurgle Sorcs.

Why would you ever use Advanced Armor for Eldar on UAT, unless you go for a 150 Toughness Dark Reaper or want the -1 second armor regen delay?
The toughness is going to be useless unless you have +120, as just about everyone will be able to ignore that toughness for a few points extra (way less than what the Toughness costs).
A 50 LP Modification will be able to completely nullify the Advanced Armor from most Eldar Classes :D
