    I've always said that Bolters should have "Accelerated" damage instead of drop off, so instead of a drop off they get a ramp up. It supports their archetype and is true to the lore.

  2. I'm fine with JPA's getting nerfed to the point that only GOOD ones will succeed well.

    There are entirely too many jet trails in games these days. It's harkening back to like a year or so ago when they were pretty much god mode. They are supposed to be a niche unit, used to dislodge dug in Heavy's etc by taking paths that aren't in the kill zone.

    Not taken en masse and making up 50% of the team. :p

    NOTE: I do not want JPA useless, I just want them to be good at their role. Sneaking and being smart with your routes should be the victory condition, not because you're basically as tough as a foot slogger but with added mobility and tasty combat/evasion animations heh.

    Hence making the scopes worthwhile because you need to be able to aim for away. That would be highly painful, though, and that would basically create automatic sniper rifles... unless the max damage amp up is about 5% for 100m

    But are by far the fastest race. Combined with lag, you can't kill what you can't hit. If a good Eldar vs a good SM, the Eldar will win. If the Eldar stops to shoot instead of moving and shooting/flipping with their pin point accuracy, the Eldar will of course lose. People quote stats but never take into account that Eldar are smaller and faster making them better in almost every situation.

    I think they should be fast, it gives them flavor and is fun to play, but having the same stats as a SM plus that speed, is terrible to play against, which is why people hate them.

    Actually, would anyone be interested in planning a UAT pvp event to test out stuff like that rather than speculating on it? Don't read me wrong, I love speculating, but I'd like to test these changes out too. On the field I mean.
  7. I'd be on the UAT more often if I didn't have to constantly redownload and switch between UAT and Live(like 5 gig downloads both ways last time I did it).

    Steam has such a stupid system for that.

    Agreed. Tho currently it's 625MB if I'm not mistaken.

    Sneaking has never, EVER been the role of ASM.
    They're designed to be fast and hit hard, the dedicated assault troops should NOT have reduced armor under any circumstances.

    If anyone, not picking on you specifically, has issues with ASM or Raptors then I strongly suggest you git gud. Shoot them before they get to you, roll when they jump, drop grenades at your feet. Or just 1v1 them in melee and don't be trash.

  10. TT roles do not translate to games. I know it's crappy but things do have to change to work in an FPS environment. If JPA's were basically just GA's with a rocket like they are in TT you'd hardly ever see actual GA's(or sluggas for Orks and TA's for CSM).

    I mean look at Meltas and PC's etc. If they worked like they did in TT game would be a fucking mess.
