My personal Tzeentch builds are as follows: Elites: Non-elites: It's long been my favorite mark, both lorewise (I'm a gigantic Thousand Sons fan) and in game. Sadly with the TTK overhaul I use it on far fewer kits now, but I still have a reliable few.
The point is....Those kits are better with any other mark.... Tzeentch doesn't bring anything to the table. A Necrotic sword khrnite is better than a tzeentch one.... A nurgle marine shooting bolter is better than a tzeentch one.... There are viable builds....but not becaue they are tzeentch. They are viable because they are viable with anything.... If it's viable with tzeentch, it's more viable with other marks....
I strongly disagree Tzeentch bolter and storm bolter are far better for sustained poptart combat because it takes like 2 seconds to regen the shield to full. If used correctly offers more survival than nurgle's attributes would Khorne.... HAHHAHHHAHHAHAHHA.. right.. this one really needs an overhaul i can't think of a situation i'd wanna use khorne over any of the other 2 tbh. Yes even in melee i'd rather be SLaanesh or even Nurgle. Well actually i can think of 1.. being forced to choose between MoT or MoK for a melee class =D. As a sors the Tzeentch healing spell is pretty good , it puts a heal over time on people and is essentially a copy paste of the eldars healing aoe spell. this is not something the other marks can do. And its the closest thing we have to the LSM afk heal beacon or the ork Doc bomb. The only thing i'd say is particularly bad on Tzeentch is its CQC capability mainly do to the loss of 15% hp. but man you can actually go out and pretended to be a relic warrior thousand sun walking animated armor with a boltgun.. works really well on MoT Now all we need is for the devs to create us a nice warpflame bolter MoT exclusive item.
Yes... because waiting 2 seconds for your armor to regen, when average TTK is less than 2 seconds is so much useful. And having less 30 hp than everyone else, so you get outshot in every face to face situation. If you are in the open....you die easier from beeing Tzeentch. If you are in cover....you are in cover, and can wait 1 more second to regen your armor with any other mark. And in melee, anything is better than Tzeentch. That's why i even mention khorne. Bad as it might be....it's still more relevant than Tzeentch. It's not like you are discussing anything new to me. I've been palying tzeentch since it was available because i'm a huge fan. But competitively there's really nothing that good about it. Anyone can see that. Sure you can do poke an shoot fights.....so can any other mark. But when it comes to playing the objective, and assaulting objectives, and holding objectives while shooting....the mark is just straight out bad as you are the feeblest kid around the block.
If squishy ppl could not take objectives the elder would not be a viable race to play now would they .. I personally have no issues with the mark 170 hp 150 armor 120T does the job just fine. Plus it's the only guy who can take the 6% ranged damage icon . so there is that Also TTK is only low Up Close with in the damage drop off range , which is where you should not be as MoT.
i like tzeentch because of the whole feeling of "I AM AN ALL MIGHTY WIZARD GOD FEEL MY TAINTED POWER LOYALIST"...buuuut i can't really do that at the moment since bE hasnt given the one item i absolutely love and will take any fucking day over sword/bolt pistol combos, THE STAFFS! i've always loved the staffs, the way they looked and in just general play from other games, such as Dawn of War 2R, when in Last Stand the staffs you had obtainable in that. not only are these missing but one of the most iconic spells for tzeentch is missing (least i think its iconic i dunno ima ork first, wizard second) is DoomBolt, where the hell did DaemonBolt come from where is DoomBolt? as for build i've used...well i used to have a Black Legion tzeentch sorc just for feeling, but switched to WB and back to BL again...god i can't fucking decide a good legion to stick to since i like nurgle/khorne/tzeentch equally in warhammer
Well so far I've found that Tzeentch is mostly worth taking for the gear/spells you get for using it rather than it's bonus even though it is a good one. If I'm squad leader than Tzeentch is great for the ranged damage bonus and Boon of Change is a great (also underutilized) healing spell. It's not useless but it is underwhelming. Funny how you see plenty of Khornites around but barely any Tzeentch despite the fact that Khorne offers even less than Tzeentch. I personally only use Khorne for the Teeth these days.
I'd have to beg to differ on saying they work on other marks, just because, no they work on other marks b/c you play differently, much like any of the others.
Mark of Tzeentch is actually pretty damn amazing in melee and probably my favorite melee mark. Your army will basically regen in the duration of one dbash or two clangs. If you're getting shot by the guy's friends, in this TTK environment you're dead anyway. Tzeentch has let me make bold moves in melee duels by going for a swing that has a high chance to get me hit, but will win me the fight hard if it goes through simply because my armor can take that hit. If I do get hit, I just lock the fight up for a clang or two and I'm back where I started. And it's not wait 1 more second to regen armor with other marks. It's at best like 5 seconds for other people to start regenerating, and then it takes some 4 seconds to regenerate the lost armor. That's 9 total seconds. Tzeentch is done regenerating to full before the other guy even starts to regenerate. 2.5s to start and 2 to be done. 4.5s in total
Tzeentch for the win. If you play with that Mark you are not suppose to be in the open , shoot and hide back. Here my sorcerer. Force Sword with + dmg , + dura Boon Armor Lv 2 Neck that give + 35 Chage and the 2 artefact that give armor regen No gun, no offensive spell.
