Two Words: Not Happening... As for fluff reasons and trying to make this into canon, I'm sorry to crush your hopes but it will not happen. Deamon Princes my come by as something of a PVE related content to help you fight Tyranids constant threat, or maybe just as a chaos undivided NPC where you can requisition lesser deamons from the multiple chaos gods to help you in your campaign against the other factions, just like you can requisition vehicles, why not a small squad of lesser deamons to fill in for whatever you might think is lacking or just needed the extra fodder they can't easily ignore. Chas spawns from players is probably also not going to happen, since who wants to lose their character they have worked so far just so it becomes an NPC and you start another one from scratch? I get the part that you should have "dark blessings" that gives benefits according to each chaos god or chaos undivided.
I'd prefer it if Daemon Princes were only limited to 5 people at most, and to become one you must kill as much as they did and then kill him. Making him lose his Daemon Prince.
Well the path to becoming a Demon Prince would take those five players decades to accomplish if you take fluff into account. EC is trying to become part of the canon so it is highly unlikely it will happen, but it might come in the for of NPC to spend requisition to hire some lesser demons or "dark blessings".
Yeah, so, keep in mind that we'll be playing chaos marines, who already have thousands of years of experience (potentially) before showing up on this planet.....
Indeed, who is to say that the dudes on that planet arent very close to some prize due to the history we are unaware of. Theres tons of speculation we can go about doing but in the end like i said in the Primarchs thread, no one side will change the others mind about this.
Well we can assume you are playing very old / or fairly recent turned traitor chapters, even then its easier to become a spawn or possessed than you could probably be a daemon prince or we would have a lot of daemon princes running around in the w40k history. The only time a great demonic invasion happened was during "The Great Awakening" in the year 982999.M41. It will also depend on the timeline of course of the game, which I don't think it has been established.
